Hello everyone!!!! Today I have another layout to share with you! Of course created with Clear Scraps Acrylic XL Deco Sheet :) and My Minds Eye-Now and Then Paper Collection. Scrapbook pages using acrylic just makes everything looks better I think :).

Note: Cut and trace the acrylic shape into  a patterned paper, then adhere in the back page of the acrylic (used Beacon All Purpose Adhesive Glue). The photo and all embellishments goes on top of the page.

Spooky Layout

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout I created using our Spiderweb Mixers.

I used the mixer first as a mask with mists to create some webs on the background of my page...

I then covered it with glue and added black glitter to it...I wiped some of it off so it wouldn't have full coverage, and I really like how it looks more "realistic" that way... the smaller web was just inked with Staz-on and a blending tool.  It helped keep it from overwhelming the page....love that these mixers have a dual use as a mask and an embellishment!  Thanks for stopping by today!!

 

Roam Broom Halloween Layout

Hi Clear Scrappers,

Katie here sharing one cute Halloween layout featuring my niece when she was around 2 years old... She was actually trying to sweep the floor for us but she ended up getting the wrong broom and got herself stuck underneath her pants and couldn't get herself out... I found this pretty amusing and snapped a pic of her funny yet desperate expression...

Using the 12" x 12" acrylic sheet as the backing, I applied some stencil at the background using the 6" damask stencil and center the page using one of the chipboard pages from the theatre chip album...

Halloween is just this Friday, I hereby wish everyone a Happy Halloween...

Halloween Memories Layout by Pinky

 

Hey there Clear Scraps friends, 

it's Pinky today with a fun Masciled Halloween Layout using Clear Scraps XL Dazed Square, and Clear Scraps Spider Web Mascil paired with some Krylon paint and a Halloween title. 
You can see I painted the back of the Clear Scraps XL Dazed Square in black spray paint, then used metallic spray paint on the front with the Clear Scraps Spider Web Mascil the 6" one. 

 

After that I added the cardstock title I cut with my Silhouette and lightly painted with the Krylon and a matte- which I layered tulle over. Then I added some touches here and there with stickers and stickles. 

It's very fun and not too spooky I think!

Happy Fall Layout - Adora

Hello and happy Friday everyone!!! Today I am sharing this layout I've created with Clear Scraps Acrylic XL Deco Sheet and My Minds Eye - Now and Then Collection. I love this acrylic page sheet,  it works perfectly with the fall theme, don't you think.?!

Halloween Chalkboard

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a bit of Halloween decor, but don't worry if you don't have the supplies, this technique will work for any special occasion.

I love the look of chalkboard art.  But some of the tutorials seem so difficult, and my handwriting skills are often somewhat lacking.  So I came up with this super simple way to get the look without all the fuss.  All you need is one with a one of Clear Scraps Clear Craft Sheets, these sheets can be easily cut to size and shape, a white paint marker, and a printed graphic.

Step 1:  Print the desired graphic onto paper.  

Step 2:  Place Clear Craft Sheet over image and trace with your paint pen.  Clear Scraps sheets are crystal clear so you can easily trace your design.

 

All that is left is creating our background.

Step 3:  Chalk black cardstock.  I dropped an eraser onto my cardstock a number of times and then rubbed it in.

 

I wouldn't draw with the chalk directly onto the cardstock as that might be harder to smooth out to give you the 'chalkboard" finish.

That's it.  Place your acrylic sheet into a frame, place the "chalkboard" behind it and you are done!  

Just think of all the fun "chalkboards" you can make.

Send it Clear~ Smile!

Hi, Connie here with a vintage looking Send It Clear card by Clear Scraps.  This one is the beautiful Ornate Send It Clear card.  A favorite of mine!!!!

These types of cards are easy to do and are so pretty and special looking.  In the store Clear Scraps offers many different styles of Send It Clear cards.  It really is hard to choose~

On this one, I attached the paper to the front of the acrylic, so when the card it opened the acylic is the first thing that is seen on the two side flaps. The middle section has the design paper ontop of the acylic, for easy reading  and signing of the card.  You can do it either way and it will always look fabulous!!!!

Bonjour Send it Clear

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a simple card I made using a Half Scallop, Send it Clear Card.

These Send It Clear cards make everything just a bit more special, and, by allowing little bits and pieces of the layers to show through you can create stunning effects.

Trick or Treat

Just a few more days until all those princesses, super hero's and goblins

start knocking at your door.

Are you ready?

To make my  "Trick or Treat" sign start with the Small Clear Word Title from Clear Scraps.

• To make "Trick or Treat"  have more vibrant color,  I inked with the "Orange Zest" StazOn inkpad directly onto the back of the words.
• On the front stamp with "jet black" StazOn and a Crackle Stamp.
• Outline "Trick or Treat" with a black paint pen to give the words more pop.

For the base of my sign I used the first page of Cassy 8" x 8" Mixable Album.

• Cover the back of the acrylic with scrapbook paper.
• Trim around edges using a craft knife.
• Sand the edges with a sanding block for a nice smooth finish.
• Edge around the sides with a black paint marker.
  
• Re-punch the two outer holes and cover center hole with a small sticker.

Love Potion No. 45

Hi Clear Scrappers,

Katie here sharing this steampunk altered perfume bottle for this Halloween... This is a used men's cologne bottle which has been lying around in my house for quite some time... Because of the interesting cap, I thought it would be good to transform it into a steampunk potion bottle... Hence I decided to upcycled it and altered it using this Gears Acrylic Border...

Hope this will inspire you a little...

Clearly Spooky Ghost Banner

 

It's the Most Wonderful Time Of The Year...lol....Lisa here to share a Halloween project!  Halloween is my most favorite time of the year and I just love to create home decor for it. 

So today I'm sharing a Ghostly Banner I created using our Scalloped Square Album and Ghost Mini Album.  I used three of the pages from the Scalloped Album to create the base of the banner.  I painted them with  two coats of my favorite Chalkboard paint (from Michaels)

 

Then I used a Chalkboard marker to add permanent dots around the scallops...

 

 

For my ghosts, I used Imagine Crafts Irresistable Spray to give them some ghostly texture.  I helped it dry along with my heat gun and the ghosts actually curled up a little bit with I LOVED.  (isn't it fun when you didn't mean to do something and then you love what happened?!)  I punched a hole in the bottom of the ghost to add some pretty chandelier bling...

 

 

And then strung it all together on some white seam binding....you can see that I added some chalk detail with real chalk and then wiped it away.  It didn't photograph well but the faint outlines stayed making the panels look spooky...

Halloween Coffins

Raechelle here sharing a fun way to use a clear 12X12 Clear Acrylic Craft Sheet. I am not huge into Halloween and have very little on the craft side for this holiday, so I really wanted to stretch my crativity. (This idea stemmed from another project I have in mind that I hope to share in the near future if it materializes as I have it envisioned in my head.)

To make these coffins find and print a template to your liking. 

Leaving the protective film on, trace over the template using a straight-edge. Now I didn't add the tabs as one would if they were making this as paper since I did not fold and adhere. You can see this in the image below:

Now you can cut. I left the protective film on for this step as well. (I recomend practicing a bit to get a feel for how the acrylic will cut.) 

To make it foldable, gently score lines using a razor knife. Be careful not to cut too deep. I ran my razor knife on each foldable edge twice. Now you can bend it. 

This is what it will look like:

Now you can remove the protective film. 

I am going to be compeltely honest here. Adhering the edges was difficult and required a bit of trial and error as well as patience and perseverance. I used Beacon Zip Dry to adhere. The first coffin I created came together pretty easily. For whatever reason I just could not neatly apply the Zip Dry to the edges of the second coffin so I decided to use paper to pull it all together. 

I filled them with candy and I think they turned out pretty cool. The finished size is approx. 3.5" l, 2.5" w at the apex and 1.5" deep. I made two, but I could have made three out of one 12X12 acrylic sheet. 

This idea could be applied to so many projects. Let your imagination run wild! 

 

Acrylic Gift Tag

Hello everyone! It's Irene here and today I'm sharing with you all an acrylic tag which I've created using an acrylic hald round tag by Clear Scraps.

Besides the tag, I've also used Clear Scraps "Precious" mascil to create the sentiment on the tag.

Clear Scraps Educator

Create a Journal Cover with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a journal cover using the Paint Splats Stencil and the Create: Title Strip by Clear Scraps.  You will need a composition notebook for this project, along with some paint or sprays, for color and modeling cream.

Directions~

1. Secure the stencil to the front cover of the composition notebook. I used washi tape.

2. Place some Modeling Cream on the stencil and use a flat surface tool to spread the Modeling Cream over the stencil. I used a plastic card ( like an old credit card). To cover the front, this process will need to be done twice.

3. Remove stencil and let dry. A heat tool will help it along.  Soak  the stencil in water and the Modeling Cream will come right off.

4. Add color. Paint or spray with the color you like.  I used Dylusions Ink Spray, orange and green.  I splatted some on also.

5. Add some Alcohol ink to the Create: Title Strip. I used a dark blue and green.

6. For the binding of the composition notebook, I covered it with Sticky Back Canvas and splatted it with the Dylusions Spray Ink.  You could also use trim to cover the binding.

7. Finish up  by adding some embellishments.
