A Good Ol' Sport Travel Bag Album

Hi Clear Scrappers,

Katie here sharing an altered album that I used using this Chipboard Travel Brag Bag Album and the remaining  acrylic pages from the Mini Word  Album that were left from my previous project, Friends Display Décor Frame...

I actually altered the album in a way that I'm able to house the album within the travel bag rather than using it the conventional way... I hope this will inspire you a little to build an album a different way...

Cheers!!! Have a great day ahead and I shall see you again...

Send it Clear Card

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a card I created using the Clear Scraps Half Scallop Send it Clear Card and the  Echo Park Simple Life collection.

This card came together so easily using these products!  I knew the minute I saw it that I wanted to use the "love you" sticker as the focal point of my card.  I used my Cameo to cut some leaves from the Echo Park paper as well and layered them on the front scalloped flap of the card.  I then backed the sticker with another sticker, leaving me some room for a message.  I used a border sticker for the bottom flap.

I then placed a slightly larger sticker on the base of the card behind where the "love you" sentiment is, giving some cool depth to the whole card.

I added some pearls for a finishing touch...

I'm completely in love with this line of paper from Echo Park and how well it works with our products..can't wait to play some more!

Happiness Home Decor(resize)

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a little decor piece that you can create using Clear Scraps acrylic corset album.  I've dressed up this album using paints, pattern papers, flowers, pearls, lace etc.

Here is a picture of the inside of this decor piece.

Clear Scraps has tons of fun and beautiful designs of these acrylic albums which you can alter into a home decor piece. Now, who says that an acrylic album needs to be made into a mini album?

Happiness, Joy, Love Mason Jar Album by Pinky

Hi again friends, it's Pinky today sharing another one of the newer mini album designs from Clear Scraps, this time it's the beautiful Mason Jar Album (Acrylic) and it's so amazing and unique!
For this album I went ahead and removed the heart from the middle, I love that it's easily removable so I had an accent piece for the second page!
I spray painted the from and back page using a soft pink spray paint (Krylon) for the jar area and a brushed nickel for the lid area. Then I accented it using a bronze liquid pearl bottle.
I added the Clear Scraps Expression LOVE to the cover which I lightly painted on the back side to keep the shiny finish on the front
Here is where I added the heart from the front, I left it sticking off the side for more dimension.
I went through my papers and added some paper flowers along with misc. brads, buttons, and gemstones.
I also added punched butterflies.
And on the last page I added a layered crystal.
When it was complete I added some bright ribbon, I know it's fall but my heart was feeling light and cheery.
It's wonderful to see so may fantastic designs in the Clear Scraps store, perfect for every craft!

Forever Free Bird Cage Mini by Pinky

Hey there friends, it's Pinky today to share one of my favorite newer designs that Clear Scraps has come out with- this amazing Bird Cage Chip Album!
I am not sure if you can tell but I grabbed some brushed nickel Krylon paint and painted all the pages using that metallic paint and I love the mellow finish it created.
After I painted all the pages I started decorating the front using supplies I had in my craft drawer and boxes, I really just layered and layered until I felt it was right.
The shape and design is so well thought out, it makes the perfect gift album.
I also added Butterfly Mixer (from Clear Scraps of course) that I coated in alcohol ink.
I used scraps of paper for the matting and tons of doilies too.
I love the idea of freedom and the feeling I could put any photos in this album.
So many amazing shapes and styles of albums in the Clear Scraps Store!
You are sure to find any style you want and YES this does come in acrylic as well.
No detail is left undone on these fun albums.
I hope you enjoyed my album today- and come back soon to say hi.
Until next time, keep on creating!!

Photo Display Bookstand.

Hello everyone and happy September. This is Adora and today I am sharing this project I created with the  8 X 8 Acrylic Bookstand. This is a such fun way to display some of photos that you love. Here is one of my favorite photo from the kids last spring break vacation.

Other Supplies: Heidi Swapp and Basic Grey.  First Step; use a decorative tape to frame the acrylic , then attach/embellish the top side of the frame;  Mat the photo on a black and white cardstock and attached to a 8X8 patterned paper as shown.

Thank you all for stopping by, stay tuned for more wonderful acrylic projects!!!

Acrylic Base Layout

Today, I'm sharing a layout which I've created using an acrylic sheet by Clear Scraps as its base. I love to use Clear Scraps acrylic sheet or XL shapes to create my layouts. It gives the interesting floating effect and a fun surface to create on.

I've used some white gesso with a 12 x 12 damask mascil to create the damask background.  I've has so much fun playing on the acrylic surfaces.  Just a note to remember, when working on acrylic surface, "less is always better". For example, less paint, less ink, less watery, less stamping pressure, less adhesives. Try creating your own floating layout!

Travel Layout

Hi there, Lisa here today sharing my love of creating scrapbook pages!  I love customizing the Clear Scraps products to use on my layouts.  It's just awesome to have the perfect match for my layout, and something that no one else would have.

For this layout, I created a frame using the Medium Oval Fancy Frame, a script stamp with Jet Black Staz-On ink and a rub of the Blue Hawaii Staz-On ink. I love how well it matches the paper and photo!  I also created some custom letters from our Acrylic Alphabet. Both Staz-on inks were used to create a mottled effect for the airport code TLV (Tel Aviv).

I just love how it turned out and that my layout was customized for me!  Hope it's inspired you to take acrylic onto your pages!

Mount Rushmore album

Hello! Raechelle here sharing an album using a Mixable Cutie 5.75 x 7 album.

Rushmore album flat

Our family recently took a huge leap of faith and relocated from Spokane Valley, WA to Rosenberg, TX. My husband left a little over a month prior to the girls and I leaving and I was left to pack and get our home ready to sell. I was blessed to have my mother make the drive down with my girls and myself. We decided to make a few stops along the way to make the raod trip a little more fun for all of us. Mount Rushmore was a place we had all wanted to see and it was such a spectacular sight!

A Decor Frame~ XL Deco Shape!

Hi,  Connie here with a decor piece using the XL Deco Shape.  I have done a tutorial, walking you through each step, on how this project was put together.

1. Remove the film from both sides of the acrylic frame.  Adhere tissue paper, old text paper or pattern paper to one side of the frame.  I used Fast Finish Decoupage by Beacon. Set aside and let dry.

2. Take the back of the frame set ( cardboard backing) and paint it black ( or color of your choice). I used chalk board spray paint ( sprayed out doors and let it dry, really good).

3.  Cover a chipboard number or shape with buttons.  I used 3-in-1 by Beacon to adhere the buttons to the "6" number ( chipboard).

4. Secure the back to the acrylic front with 3-in-1 by Beacon.  I only tagged it to keep it together.

5. I set eyelets at the top and added wire, for the hanger.

6. I added a metal ornate label embellishment at the bottom and trim at the top.

This was a fun project, it went pretty fast, but give it plenty of drying time before moving on to the next step.  This project can be done with any of the XL Deco shapes or word frames.

Thanks for stopping by~

Acrylic Custom Wordbook

Bali Vacation Mini Album(resize)

Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing a mini album which I've created using Clear Scraps acrylic custom wordbook. You can custom these albums by selecting the word to form it. For my album, I've chosen the word "BALI" because I want to showcase pictures of my trip to Bali in it.

Besides the album, I've also used a couple of Clear Scraps embellishment from the acrylic vacation embellishment set. To form the title, I've used a "vacation" acrylic expression which I've outlined it with a white permanent marker.

Here are some pages in it.

I love showcasing my vacations through these custom wordbooks. Hope you all like it!
