Layout with Clear Scraps Chevrons

Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm back to share a layout I created using the 12 inch Chevron Mascil as well as the Chevron Acrylic Border.  Chevrons are probably my favorite pattern...I love that they are on trend in the designing world! Since we are celebrating pets at Clear Scraps this month, I did a layout featuring my beloved pug Max.  We rescued him about two years ago and he is 100% personality!

I first placed my  Mascil over a white piece of cardstock. I then lightly misted a few areas with spray ink.  You can go as light or heavy as you like. Don't be afraid to play around and find out what looks good to you!  Here you can see variations of the ink.  I then placed my letter stickers over the top for journaling.

At  the top of my page, I lightly adhered my Chevron Border with some liquid adhesive. I then secured it with a couple staples.  I left my acrylic "bare" but you can easily add alcohol ink or acrylic paint to color!

Beach Mixable Misty

Hello everyone! Nancy here today to share with you a new mini album I made for an upcoming beach trip. I love the Mixable Misty album, the combination of acrlyic and chipboard is so fun.

Mixers_mini album_clear scraps_prima_nancy keslin

I filled the mini album with lots of gorgeous new Prima Seashore papers and embellishments, as well as some older items from my stash.

Mixers_mini album_clear scraps_prima_seashore_nancy keslin_

I dry brushed the acrlyic pages with a mixture of texture paste and inks and to get the edges to really pop.

Mixers_clear scrap_mini album_nancy keslin_prima_seashore

I also inked the edges of my chipboard pages to help blend the edges of my papers with the chipboard.

When working on the album I tried to allow as much of the surrounding pages to show through the acrylic, taking full advantage of the beautiful see through property.

Filled with little pockets, lots of room for journaling and photos, I can't wait to hit the beach and fill this book with wonderful memories.

Clear Scraps Acrylic Sheet, makes a great card!

Hi, Connie here with a cute Summer inspired card using the 12 X 12 clear sheet of acrylic.

The front acrylic piece is a 6" X6".  The paper is 6" X 7 1/4".  I scored the paper at the 1 1/4" from the top.  Folded it over and adhered to the acrylic with Beacon 3 in 1.

Card3july

The embellishments are on the pattern paper.  I adhered the butterfly and label to the acrylic front.  The card is constructed from a  12" X 12" sheet of acrylic (cut in half) by Clear Scraps.  I also used the Pennants embellishments by Clear Scraps.

Love the acrylic for cards~such a GREAT look that screams "You are Special"!!

SkyLine Mini Album for a Birthday

Hello Clear Scraps friends.

Elena is here today to share with you a project I made for my daughter who will turn 8 years old this very month.

She has used to receive some handmade gifts from me, so it's always an issue for me what to invent something new that can be surprising for her.

So this time I have made a mini album and a card in one project.

SkyLine_Clear_Scraps_Elena_Olinevich

  I used Chipboard Skyline Album.

I covered it with the papers and used some clear embellishments - Banners embellishments.

Skyline_Banner_Clear

I colored them with alcohol inks and embellished with the flowers

Clear_Banner

Here is what you see while open the first page up:

Skyline2

and inside:

SkyLineCentral

I made some fussy cutting from the photos and placed one of the Lamp from the Lamps Embellishments,

colored with alcohol inks and outlined with a premanent marker.

SkylineInside2

One more clear embellishment I used for the other page

Butterfly_Clear_Scraps

I colored Butterfly Embellishment with alcohol inks as well, using the blending applicator.

Have a wonderful day.

Summertime Card

Hi there, Lisa here today with a summery card I created using our Fence Mixer.

Photo_1 (2)

My inspiration today was my favorite Magnolia stamp, which requires something to "sit" on...and I thought of the Fence Mixer!  How perfect!  I had initally planned to emboss it with a woodgrain but sadly, my Epic 6 died a sad death today so instead, I used a sponge and dabbed it with paint to give it a weathered look.  I then created a window card for the base and the card just came together.  I really like how it turned out and the card feels so summery with the picket fence.  Hope you are enjoying lovely weather where you are!

Acrylic card ~ with a little something extra~

Hi , Connie here with an acrylic card, with a little something extra.   Let me show you~

Cardjuly3

That extra is, the paper clip at the top of the card.

I started out like this~

Cardjuly1

1. Cut the acrylic sheet 6" X 6".  Use a die to put a decorative edge on one end of the acrylic sheet.

Cardjuly2

2. Then cut two shapes (I used the Tim Holtz telephone) out of a piece of pattern paper and the acrylic sheet ( with the decorative edge).  You should have one acrylic shape and two paper shapes.

Cardjuly5

3. This how the acrylic sheet should look (above photo).

4. Take your pattern paper and score 1 1/4" from the top of the paper.

5. Fold and adhere the acrylic sheet to the paper. I used Beacon 3-1.

6. Line up one of the telephone shapes to show through the acrylic (telephone shape). Adhere to the pattern paper.  Add extra embellishments if you desire.

Cardjuly4

7. Adhere ( Beacon/ 3-in-1) the second paper (telephone) to the acrylic (telephone ) and glue a large paper clip to the back.

8.  Add buttons or pearls to the center of the telephone paper clip.

You could also use it to clip a photo to the card, in my case I used the tickets and put my message on those.  Have fun with it~ any shape will work and the acrylic looks so "fancy"

Thanks for stopping by~

Butterfly Decor

Hi all, Lisa here today to share what has got to be my most favorite project of recent history!
Photo_1 (2)-001

I don't really know what to call it, but I sure had fun making it!  I used a white frame that I found at Michaels, a piece of 12 x 12 Clear Scraps Acrylic that I cut to fit the frame and some die cuts from Pretty Little Studio.   I found it was really easy to line up the butterflies by using the cutting mat under my acrylic piece once it was inserted into the fram, and they are simply glue dotted to the acrylic in a grid fashion, like a Butterfly Specimen display.

Photo_2 (3)-001

I layered on some word stickers and created my cluster on the left with more glue dots and some seam binding ribbon...
  Photo_3-001

I jut love how this sweet little display turned out and plan to make some more for gifts, especially since the whole project only took 15 minutes to make.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Summer Water Fun Cards By Pinky!

Hey there friends,
It's July and of course I wanted to create some cool cards that screamed SUMMER!
Beach Cards Avocado Arts Anchor Acrylic Pinky Hobbs Xyron Clear Scraps15
I decided to share how I created this card style and post photos like these
Take a premade cardstock card- trim off the front leaving around 2.5".
Use a border punch to create decorative top.

Trim 12X12 Clear Scraps acrylic sheet to fit front of card- then
adhere sheet to top of card.

I used CutCardStock, Connie Crystal and my Xyron of course.
Stamp your image to create water, then trim out and make into a sticker.
Adhere to front of acrylic card and add corrugated paper behind for more dimension.
Add water looking crystals.

Stamp and add your stamps images to front of card.

Here is the end result of the actual tutorial card- same techniques
two different cards with a fun water theme. :)
