Fair Fun Mini Album with Acrylic Recipe Stand

Hello Clear Scraps friends!  Jennifer here today to share a mini album I created using the Acrylic Recipe Stand 4x6 Kit.   The kit comes with 5 acrylic tabbed pages and 5 chipboard pages.  So you are free to use any combination that works for your project!    I chose to use the acrylic pages only but plan on using the chipboard pages for another book! :)

In honor of summer, I documented a fun trip to a local fair!  My kids are all about carnivals and rides!

One thing that I love about this kit is that the pages are approximately the same size as a 4x6 photo!  So, its easy to do a little trimming and have your picture cover the entire page!   I did this same thing for many of my pages and then added some small embellishments!

The Recipe Stand Kit is also a great gift! If you have an event or favorite photos you want to scrapbook for someone, then this is perfect!

After I finished embellishing my pages, I took my Cropodile and punched holes in the acrylic stand and pages.  Its nice, too, that the rings come with the kit!

I love having the acrylic stand for my pages because it makes a nice display.  I have it sitting on one of my tables in my living room!

Clear Scraps~XL Dazed and the Utensils Stencil!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbooking page using the Utensils stencil and the XL Dazed  shape. I have really been having fun using the Clear Scraps stencils with Modeling Paste.  It adds texture and looks fabulous.

Lojuly1

I applied the modeling paste directly on the acrylic.  Let it dry and then adhered the pattern paper.  I used Beacon/3 - 1 for this.

All of the other embellishments are adhered with Beacon also. The perfect adhesive for acrylic.

Mini Album with Leftover Project Life Cards

Mini Album with Leftover Project Life Cards

We all have them, especially if you do project life - the extra cards - the ones you will end up doing nothing with. Except - you can make a mini album with them!! For my base I used 2 pages of this 6x6 Chipboard Album.

For starters I cut them down to 3x4, and inked the edges black with a marker.

IMG_1885

I then selected about 10 cards from my extra pile, and found the one that I wanted to be the cover - I then punched 2 holes though the top of the "album" which is where my twine will eventually go through.

IMG_1887

I then took the card I selected to be the front, and adhered it to the front of one chipboard piece - I adhered it with my ATG. Then I inked the edges one more time to cover the new pretty top.

IMG_1890

I then collected all of the interior cards, and strung my twine through them. All I have to do now, is add my pictures!

Our Story is Clear Layout

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout I created using our XL Deco Shape as the base.  I used it as I would cardstock, just as the base of my layout, and I love how it turned out.

Photo_2 (3)-001

Photo_3-001

Because I used gold on my layout (Pretty Little Studio products) I edged the Deco Shape with gold ink to help define the edges.  In real life, it is a soft touch that just finished off the layout so nicely!  Hope you'll try one of the XL Deco Shapes the next time you create a layout and if you do, be sure to share your layout on our Clear Scraps Facebook Page.  We love to see our fans work!!

Send it Clearly Embossed

Good Morning everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a card I made using the Ornate Send it Clear Card.

Clear scraps_ornate_send it clear_card_nancy keslin

To create this card I began by embossing the top pieces of the card with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and my Sizzix machine.  I love how easy it is to add that extra bit of dimension to Clear Scrap acrylic with embossing.

Clear scraps_ornate_send it clear_card_nancy keslin_embossing

After embossing, before I assembled my card I dry brushed a bit of acrylic paint onto the edges to add just a bit of depth.

I finished the card with some older papers and bits and baubles I had lying on my desk.

Embossing Clear Scraps Clear Shapes for Layouts and Cards

Vintage Sisters Layout for Clear Scrap by Sue Eldred using Clear Shape Flowers

Did you know that you can emboss Clear Scraps Clear Shapes?   (I didn't until recently.)

Smile Card for Clear Scraps Sue Eldred July 2014

For my "Vintage Sisters" layout and "Smile" card, I started with a Clear Shape Flower.

To make the Flower:

  • I used my Big Shot and a Swiss Dot Embossing Plate to emboss my flower.
  • I dabbed Antique Linen Distress Paint on the front of the flower  (raised dot)  and Victorian Velvet Distress Paint on the back side of my flower.

Have a Creative Day!

Bucket of Worms...

My youngest loves everything about fishing, especially shopping for the perfect bait. I love the excitement on his face in this photo when he bought a big bucket of worms with his own money.

These XL Deco Shapes are one of my favorite Clear Scrap items! I adhere my pattern paper to the acrylic and then run an exacto knife along the edge of the acrylic. I get a perfect cut and save myself an extra step of tracing the pattern out first.

Hope Acrylic Expression

Hope Altered Frame (resize)

In the above altered frame, I've used an acrylic "Hope" expression by Clear Scraps

To make the acrylic word look interesting, I've covered part of it with pattern paper and leave part of it translucent. I've inked the "P" with alcohol ink and outline it with permanent marker. I've also used some embellishment to decorate it.

Travel Is A Piece Of Cupcake - Keychain Album

Hi crafty friends! I am taking a cross country trip this month so traveling is on my mind. So today I bring you the Cupcake keychain album made into luggage tags!

20140701_070213-2

This keychain album comes with 5 clear cupcake shapes and a ring. I put the ring and one shape aside for my next project and used four cupcake shapes for  tags.

I made one for each of my daughters, for their carry on bags, to identify which was which. Both their names begin with "A" so I used different fonts.

20140701_070049-1

20140701_070112-1

I colored the cupcake die cut with watercolor marker and layered the patterned papers and the die cuts together with adhesive, pattern side out. Then I sandwich the papers between two cupcake shapes. I inked the edges and borders and tied a wide, wired green satin ribbon through the top hole.

I added the die cuts to the cupcake pattern side. If you wanted it to stand out more it can be added to a more solid color paper.

And now we are ready to fly!

I hope I inspired some DIY travel crafts!

- Liza

Mickey Page Divider

IMG_1878

Mickey Page Divider

This was an EXTREMELY easy project to do, and the finished project is totally adorable! I used ONE page from the Mickey Ear Mini Album. I then added one more hole to the piece, making it able to fit into my 3-ring binder that I use for my Disney pictures.

IMG_1870

Once I got the extra hole in, I then started to cover the whole piece in Washi Tape - some Disney, some not. After I got the whole thing covered I then cut the extra tape off the edges, and finished the edge with ink.

IMG_1872

Then I added to large eyelets so there would be no tear outs of the chipboard. This was super easy to do with the help of my Crop - a - Dile.

IMG_1876

Once that was finished up I then just embelished as needed, and added it to my book! So easy to do!

Inspirational Keychain Album by Pinky

Hey there friends,  Pinky here today-

When I saw these awesome quotes- things I always am saying
or thinking about, I decided
I would create an Inspiration Mini Tab Keychain Album for a friend.
You know something to inspire her when she looks at it.
Things like "You are amazing just the way you are"
And "TAKE RISKS If you win you will be happy if you lose you will be wise".
I thought it would be a meaningful way to let her know I support her.
For this project I used my Xyron 3" Sticker Maker, Xyron Adhesive
Dots, Xyron Teresa Collins Clear Hold Adhesive, Quick Quotes Calypso
products, Clear Scraps Mini Tab Album and Connie Crystal Angel Crystal.
I love the end result and I hope it inspires her.
Check out the cool quotes in this set.

Life by the Sea Mini Album

Today I have a Mini Album to share with you.

we spent a week by the Baltic Sea this June and for my little son it was for the first time he has seen the Sea. So I made many shots of his emotions and made an album about it.

LifebyThe SeaMain

I used this awesome boat shape - acrylic Sailboat Album.

Sneak

Life1Clear

I inked some parts of teh pages with alcohol inks to create a seaside feeling

LifebytheSea2

and this page was inked and stenciled :

LifebytheSea3

Here are some tips how I have made it:

Tut_SailBoat1

I applied acrylic struktur paste with a spatula through the stencil

Then I added few drops of blue alcohol inks and let them drip over the stenciled image

After I added few drops of darker color, and let them blen just a bit
