Lots of circles...

I recently received a circle die set from my boys for Mothers Day and I have been playing with circles... a lot! Glancing over at a few left over circles on my desk from a previous project, I thought they'd be a fun look covering an entire Clear Scrap acrylic sheet. What better background for them than the XL Dots!

I went through my pattern paper and found a rainbow of colors and patterns that I thought would work well together and then starting cutting. This is a fabulous way to use up all those old scraps of pattern paper.

 
I popped the sentiment circle and photo up on foam adhesive to make them stand out a bit. 

I left the protective coating on the back of the acrylic sheet. I love the slight frosted look that it gives.

Celebrating Summer with an Acrylic Pop~Up Card!

Hi, Connie here with an Acrylic ( Pop~Up) Card celebrating Summer.   Summer is here in Texas!!! We are seeing hot days and more, hot days.  This card made me think of a cool drink and a cool breeze.

I used half of the acrylic sheet by Clear Scraps.  I used a marker and made a line down the center and then used hand scissors to cut it.  I then put that in the die cut machine and ran it through to get my Pop~Up Card.

I also used the banner shape to make a flag behind the girl tag.  The paper is by Graphic45.  The acrylic is adhered with Zip Dry by Beacon.  Works so good.

The acrylic acts like a cover for the Pop~Up card.  The acrylic just screams "fancy" to me!!!!   Love the look and feel!!!  Because the card is  made out of acrylic it  sits and stays open nicely.  It displays beautifully.

This beautiful girl gradutes on Saturday and has enlisted in the US Navy as an MA (law enforcement). She is girl #3 of ours to enlist in the Navy, and I am extremely proud of her. Thankfully she doesn't leave for Basic Training until Septemeber, so I get to enjoy her for a few more months. It is hard on this momma's heart to face the reality that another one of our children has graduated and is heading out into the world, but I know she has many exciting journey's ahead of her. She will be sorely missed. 

I used a clear 12x12 Acrylic Sheet as the base foe this layout. I added a painted a Damask print along the top using the 12" Damask Stencil.
