Hi all, Lisa S. here, with my first post for Clear Scraps! I just love the Send It Clear Cards and especially this sweet butterfly card so I chose to create this for my first project.
I used Heidi Swapp Hello Today papers and chipboard and added a doily, punched butterflies and sequins to create this festive card. I simply traced the butterfly and glued the papers to the back of the butterfly panels and the back of the back panel using Zip Dry glue. Then I actually sewed in another layer for my card, creating a confetti pocket out of a 4 x 6 photo sleeve. You can see it clearly in this photo.
I used a denim needle on my sewing machine and it went through the photo sleeve and the base of the card without a problem. How fun is that?? Here's a look at the next layer, the base of the card, where I will write my greeting.
And the final touch? The clear envelope! I love that we can decorate the outside of the envelope, and even add a little extra confetti...how fun would it be to receive this in the mail?
A look at the other side of the envelope...with the card peeking through...
Thank you for stopping by our blog today!
Lisa S.
