Make That Panel Acrylic!

Hey there Clear Scraps friends,

it's Pinky today with a SPRING card. I know many of you are still in the snow but I have hope! When I was making this card I thought it would be fun to slip in some Clear Scraps acrylic as a panel to make the card pop.

Since Clear Scraps acrylic sheets are so easy to trim and cut, they easily can make any craft project more stylish and unique.

After I stamped my images I punched the edges of the patterned paper, and adhered each side to a strip of acrylic.

I also added some Liquid Pearls and stamped images inside the card since the acrylic allowed the recipient a sneak peek inside.

Fun card and I am sure you can make a million versions of it!

Hope you get your spring fix today-

Until next time, keep on creating!

Acrylic Mason Jar Album

Hello! Jennifer here and I'm back to share another Clear Scraps project with you!  Today, I am showing a mini album I created with the Acrylic Mason Jar album.  When I saw this cute, album I instantly thought of warmer weather and sunshine!  I used photos of my adorable 2 yr old nephew at one of our local spray parks!

Clear_Scraps_Mason_Jar_Album

I layered strips of patterned paper and stitched together, then adhered to the top of the album to create a "lid". I used my sanding tools to smooth the edges after trimming.

I love the heart cut on on the front of the album! This allows a photo or embellishments to show through!

Clear_Scraps_Mason_Jar_Album4

For this page, I left the top bare to allow other pages to show through.  I love how each page adds layers of embellishments!

Here are additional photos of my album! The Mason Jar shape is perfect to document your favorite spring/summer event!  Did you know there is a Chip Mason Jar Album as well?

Acrylic Baseball Album~

Hi everyone, Connie here with an acrylic Baseball Album!!!  Sure glad I have a little guy starting T-ball soon.   I have this all ready for him!!!!

Baseball mini1

Yep his daddy was an ALL-Star.  Love how things just come back around ***sigh***. OK back to our Baseball Album~

1. I traced out the shape of the album on the paper's I had decided on and cut them all out.

2. I then did a pen stitch around the edge of the pages on both sides.

3. Take off the plastic covering except for the cover page.

4. Adhere them with Zip Dry by Beacon.

5. To get the red strips on the Baseball front cover, I used a red mist.  After the red mist dried I took off the plastic sheet.

6. I embellished the cover and inside pages.

7. All I need is photo's and the album will be complete.

Baseball2

I used paper by Bo Bunny and love how it looks on the acrylic!!!

I used some G45 papers to decorate it with.  I know its not a typical Easter or St paddy's day type, but like I said before my friend does not like the everyday normal things so I used this paper for her since it has green in it?!! and I hope everyone likes...

Ink and Mixer Tutorial

Good morning Clear Scraps fans!  Guiseppa here with a fast and easy tutorial using the new Mixers.  I chose the Wire Mixer...it is my favorite one.

Lucky1

Gather your supplies...your Mixer, ink and a shape that you either punched or cut out from a die cut or die cutting machine.  I chose this four leaf clover since we are in the month of March:)

Lucky5

Set your cut out shape on top of your  Mixer.  I want you to know that I left the plastic coating on my Wire Mixer. That way, when I am ready, I can use the Wire Mixer itself as an embellishment on another project.

Lucky6

Add a second piece of paper to the back of the mixer.

Lucky7

Go in and ink and dab all around and in the mixer until you get your desired color.

Lucky8

Here is what it looked like when it was done.

Lucky9

Lay your shape back on top of the inked image you just created.  Make sure you line it all up correctly and then trace around it with a pen that is the same color as your ink.

Lucky10

Here is what it looks like.

Lucky11

Then finally cut around it.  Now, you have your shape to embellish your project.

V90A3967

First step- cut a 4 x 6 size acrylic sheet. Then use the wire mixer and spray paint one side. Stamp the image on the painted side.  Cut and fold a 4 x 6 patterned paper to use as the base of the card and stamp the sentiment onto the paper. Adhere the acrylic on top of the card.

Card to Banner...

The Clear Scraps Small Pennant Banners make great decorations but how fun would it be to get one of them in the mail as a card. At 4 x 6 inches, they're small enough that they can fit in a padded envelope.

Clear_scraps_march14_banner_wprice1

Instructions:

  1. Stamp design on the banners in white ink. Embellish with strips of washi tape.
  2. Spray Scallop Frames with iridescent spray. Paint white acrylic paint on the back of the frames to make the sparkle pop.
  3. Cut circles from pattern paper to fit in Scallop Frame. Embellish with alphabet stickers.
  4. Adhere circles and frames to banner.
  5. Tie banner together with tulle strips.

Really Girls~using an Oval frame and Wire Mixers!!

Hi everyone, Connie here with a scrapbooking page using the large acrylic Oval Frame and the Wire Mixers.

Girls1

The stencil parts are done using the Wire Mixer and then I adhered the Wire Mixer (under the title) as an embellishment.  Two for one, right!!!!  I used Zip Dry by Beacon to adhere the acrylic to the page.

Fun with Mixers

Hello Clear Scraps fans!! Jennifer on the blog today to share a couple layouts I created with the new Mixers!  Out of all the new winter releases, these were my favorites!

First up, I used the Feathers Mixers. What I absolutely love about the Mixers is that you can use them as a stencil as well as an embellishment!

Clear_Scraps_Feathers_layout

I first placed the feathers onto my white cardstock and then used spray ink to create a negative image.

Clear_Scraps_Feathers_layout3

I quickly wiped off the feathers with a paper towel so I could color them.

Using a foam applicator, I applied two different colors of alcohol ink to color the acrylic.

I love how it turned out!

Clear_Scraps_Feathers_layout2

Next, I used the Gears Mixers which are perfect for a boy layout!

Clear_Scraps_Gears_layout

Again, I used the individual gears as stencils with spray ink.  I then colored each piece with alchol ink.

Clear_Scraps_Gears_layout3

To add to the layers, I also cut gear shapes from patterned paper and cardstock on my Silhouette.

Wedding Season Is Coming!

In March it's time to start looking at the upcoming wedding season! Why not WOW the bride and groom with a fabulous CLEAR Clear Scraps Card?

There are so many designs available but don't forget you can use the Clear Scraps banner shapes to create one of a kind cards as well.

Avocado Arts Feb Stamping Clear Acrylic Card Wedding Pinky Hobbs4

Clear Scraps is the most versatile medium and you know EVERY piece from Clear Scraps is the highest possible quality!

Avocado Arts Feb Stamping Clear Acrylic Card Wedding Pinky Hobbs1

This card will not only WOW the recipient but also be a memory and treasure.

I simply layered a doily on the front page, then added some Hambly.

Added a stamped image (Avocado Arts)  and also added ribbons everywhere.

When I was done I added silver Stickles around the edges. ALOT of impact in such a small card.

I hope you are inspired to use more Clear Scraps in every project!!

Clearly having a fun time...layout and card.

Can you believe we are into the second week of March?  I can't say that I am sad at all.  I am so ready for warmer weather.  Guiseppa here and I want to share with you may warmer weather projects.  First off, let's start with a layout.

I love the new masks from Clear Scraps and I plan on playing with them a lot.  I created this layout using the Spiral Dots Mask 6x6.

The perfect summer day1

I used the mask several places on my layout.  I made sure I had some scratch paper partially behind some of the mask as to not get over spray and show the edges of the 6x6 mask, although I am not perfect:)

The perfect summer day3

The perfect summer day4

I splattered more mist around my layout.

The perfect summer day5

The perfect summer day2

Doesn't this layout just warm you up?

Now for this fun card I found in the Silhouette Store.  I decided to use the Clear Scraps Flower Mixers (new) and the Clear and Chip.

Box card1

I painted the edges of the clear acrylic flowers and the chipboard flowers, just to accentuate them.

Box card2

Box card3

Box card4

The paper I used was Adornit's Crazy for Daisy and it had this cute sentiment that I used and inserted it into the back of the card.  I held it in place using a small clothespin.

Box card5

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have been enjoying the warm Spring projects that the DT has been sharing with you.  Until next time!
