Acrylic Alphabets

Praying For Their Future(resize)

CSAalphnumb-2

Hi there! Do you know there are acrylic alphabets and numbers sheets by Clear Scraps? Have you tried it before? These acrylic alphabets are amazing. You can use them to form your title or just use one alphabet for the first alphabet of your title.

In my example above, I've used an acrylic "P" to form the word "Praying". To make it visible, I used a Sharpie permanent marker to outline it. If you want to form your whole title usng these acrylic alphabets, you can do so too. If it's too big, try overlapping them a bit to form a cool title. You could also use these alphabets to form a design for your layout or project.

Besides, the acrylic alphabet, I've also used a shattered glass mascil by Clear Scraps to create the background for this layout.

Hope you all like today's tips on using acrylic alphabets.

Clip Board and Dry Eraser Board, all in one~

Hi , Connie here with my very first Clear Scraps blog post!!!  This is a really cute and easy project.  Would be a great teacher's gift or grandparent "surprise"!!  So let's get started~

Sept1

I used a mini clip board I had and covered it with Jenni Bowlin pattern paper.  I used the Fast Finsih Decoupage by Beacon to adhere the paper to the clip board.  I inked all around the paper. I traced the XL Clear Scraps Bird onto the backside of the paper and cut it out.

Sept2

I added some real tail feathers:):), just for fun!!  I used the Zip Dry By Beacon to adhere the paper to the acrylic bird.  Then it was glued to the clip board with 3-in-1 Craft Glue by Beacon.

Sept3

And here it is all junked up!!!  Super easy project and I just noticed the XL Birds are on sale.

Decorative Acrylic Expression

Faith(resize)

Today, I would like to share with you all how I've decorated an acrylic expression by Clear Scraps just enough for it to be visible but still able to see what's underneath it.

DSC_1958

On this acrylic "faith", I've first run it through a Sizzix embossing folder with small flowers. Then, I've used Copic markers and Zig Painty markers to color it. To outline it, I also used Zig Painty marker or you can use a brush with some white acrylic paint. To add a little detail to it, I've added some mini pearls to the embossed flowers.

Hope you all like this simple idea of decorating the acrylic expression. Have fun!

Last Days of Vacation...

Hi everyone! Wendy here and today I'm sharing a layout using the new Chevron Mascil and Vacation Small Expression. We are enjoying our last few days of summer vacation here before the kids head back to school. I thought it was time I dig out those shore pictures and scrapbook.

Clearscraps_sept13_vacationLO_wprice1

With the Chevron Mascil in place, I lightly inked Black Soot Distress Ink on the cardstock.

I dripped Sail Boat Blue Alcohol ink onto the back of the Clear Scrap Small Expression Vacation. When it was dry, I sponged white acrylic paint over the alcohol ink. This helps the colors of the alcohol ink to pop and prevent the pattern paper in the background from showing through.
