Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm happy to share a layout I created in honor of Grandparents Day which was this past weekend. I love this sweet photo of my daughter and mother-in-law having fun with moustaches!
For my project, I used the new 12 inch Chevron Mascil (which I LOVE) and the Birds Acrylic Border.

Seriously if you haven't played with the Mascils yet, you must! They are so fun to use! For my background, I layed the Mascil over my cardstock. I first used Dylusions ink spray in White Linen. After allowing that to dry, I added a few random sprays in Tattered Angels Caribbean Blue. I love the effect it made! Don't be afraid to experiment with color!

While waiting for my cardstock to dry, I colored the Bird Acrylic Border. After peeling the protective film from both sides, I added Ranger Alcohol Ink in Slate. The alcohol ink dries fairly fast so then you can either leave as is or add another color or medium. I chose to use Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam in Chandelier to give some "pop" to my border.

Here is a close up shot of the acrylic border. I used the Glimmer Glam sparingly but you can definitely add more.

And here's a close up of the Chevron Mascil + spray inks:

After adding my border, I added a title and cute little embellishments (I have a thing for sequins right now!)

For my journaling, I hid it on a tag that slips into the vellum pocket.

Thanks for checking out my layout and be sure to stop by the Clear Scraps Shop to see other new Mascils, as well as an AWESOME fall sale going on right now!
