Vacation Layout

Greetings fellow crafters!  Today I have a page where I've used one of Clear Scraps wonderful mascils to create some interest & texture to the background of my layout.

I've used the 6" Chicken Wire mascil.  This would be my husband & I enjoying a much deserved vacation a few years back!

Vacation

I wanted the design of the mascil to randomly peek through in different areas around the background of my page.  I also wanted it to be the bottom layer--so I created different levels of textures & mixed media around the Chicken Wire mascil design which I created by mixing two different colors of glimmer mists (green & purple).

In this following screen shot, you can see the Chicken Wire design peeking out from behind a bit of chunky white embossing powder that I heat set against my background.

Thanks for stopping by & I hope this inspires some of you to utilize mascils to create subtle textures to the background of your work.  Enjoy the rest of the week!
