Clear Scraps All-Star Frame

Earlier this month I did a project for Clear Scraps Creating Made Easy Kit Club, using chipboard banner pieces to create a star.  I liked the way it turned out so much I decided to try it with Clear Banner pieces to create an All-Star frame for my daughter's softball pictures.  She was pretty excited that her team finished the season undefeated!!  OK, ya, I was pretty excited and proud too!!

I used one of Clear scraps new Mascils - 6" Quarterfoil - and Stazon ink to create a little pattern on the acrylic at the tips of the banner pieces.  Then I cut strips of patterned paper to add layers and color to the pieces.  These papers were left over from the July Creating Made Easy Kit.

I used 5 large eyelets and my Crop-a-Dial to secure the pieces together.  Hint:  Don't press the eyelets too hard at first - just hard enough to hold the pieces together.  Once you have all 5 eyelets in place, swivel the banner pieces as necessary to even out your star shape.  Then crimp them tighter to hold.  Cut a pentagon shaped piece of paper to glue behind the opening in the center to secure the star shape and provide a backing for the pictures.

Do you have a little All Star in your house?

Until next time!
