Welcome to Day #2 of the Quick Quotes & Clear Scraps Blog Hop!
Hi everyone! Today I'm excited to be bringing you a layout I made with Quick Quotes and Clear Scraps.
I have been waiting for the perfect papers to scrap these photos of my son. To give you an idea of how long... he's 13 now!
Supplies Used:
- Clear Scraps Acrylic 12 x 12 Sheet
- Clear Scraps Small Pennant Banner
- Accent Creative Designs Paper Flowers
- Quick Quotes Cherry Truffle pattern papers
- Quick Quotes Printer's Tray
- Quick Quotes ink
- Stampendous Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel
- Stampendous Autumn Word Cling Stamp
- Stampendous Scrolled Medallion Cling Stamp
- Ranger Archivers Black Ink
- Tsukineko Butter Cream StazOn
- 3D U Cut It Glue Arts
- Tsukineko Versamark
- May Arts Ribbon
As soon as I saw the Printers Tray, I thought the Clear Scraps Acrylic Sheets would go perfectly behind the windows creating a shadow box.
To begin with I inked outer layer of chipboard with Versamark and embossed it with Aged Ivory Embossing Powder.
The back layer of the chipboard Printers Tray was inked with Quick Quotes Amaretto. When the two layers were dry, I glued them together.
A little trick I learned when stamping the acrylic sheet, leave the protective plastic coating on one side of the acrylic. This way you can outline the openings in the printers tray on the plastic liner with pen and stamp on the other side. Your stamping will be positioned perfectly where you want it. When you're done pull of the protective plastic.
Adhere the acrylic sheet to the back of the printers tray and cut strips of 3D foam adhesive.
Adhere down all your pattern paper and photos and then adhere the printers tray in position.
Did you know you can dye your flowers using with the Quick Quotes ink? I smushed some ink onto a nonstick surface, diluted it with water and ran my flower through the color.
To embellish my flowers further, I stamped on them.
I stamped on a Pennent Banner Clear Scrap and hit it with the heat fun to add a curl to the edges.
