Good morning Clear Scraps friends!
Pinky here today- I was completely inspired by the new Expressions words from Clear Scraps and decided to make an art canvas. Then I went one step further and decided to photograph the process and make a tutorial, so you can make your own art canvas!

I chose the word "Journey" because it is so inspiring to me, life is always a journey and it's always a chance to learn something new and move forward.

Step 1. Flip the Word Journey- Clear Scraps Expressions over, peel protective film off.

Step 2. Use acrylic paint and paint word, use 2 coats to coat thouroughly.
Set aside to dry.

Step 3. Trim out 7X9" patterned paper.
Step 4. Stitch all around 7X9" paper.
Step 5. Trim out 8X10" patterned paper.

Step 6. Using Beacon Fabri-Tac, adhere 8X10 paper to canvas.

Step 7. Using same Beacon adhesive- adhere 7X9" stitched paper to canvas.

Step 8. Using same black paint, run brush along outside of canvas and paper as shown in photo below.

Step 9. Peel protective film off the JOURNEY Expressions.

Step 10. Adhere die cut as shown on canvas (Pink Paislee She Art used).
Step 11. Using same adhesive, generously apply to back of Expression, lay onto canvas as shown in photo. Press firmly and hold for 10 seconds.

Step 12. Place smaller sticker alphas onto canvas.

Step 13. Using same black paint, paint over letters, set aside to dry.
Step 14. Remover sticker alphas.

Step 15. Add die cut embellishments as shown.

I love how the Expressions adds a nice different texture to the canvas and it pops up, giving the canvas a real meaning.
