Birthday Banner with Leah
September 19, 2012
Good morning my friends, Leah here with you today to host the blog.
Today I am showing you the Clear Scraps Birthday Banner!
I kept the birthday banner neutral for anyone, so I can hang it up whenever we celebrate a birthday in the house.
I used papers from Studio Calico, My Minds Eye, Bella Blvd, and October Afternoon for this banner. Using my Cameo Silhouette, I cut out chevron patterns for the scalloped pennants, and adhered the designs to the front. On the backside, I applied alcohol ink to bring out lovely colors in the papers.
I ran the brown pattern paper through my paper crimper to take on the look of a cupcake wrapper. I adhered the polka dot paper to the backside of the cupcake, wrapped it with twine, then added the Birthday message to the front side of the cupcake. The floral ribbon is the cherry on top - sweet!
Here are some more close ups for you
There you have it, a totally cute Birthday Banner perfect for dressing up your
home decor for that special someone celebrating a Birthday!
Thanks for popping in with us today!
Cheers,
Leah Crowe - Clear Scraps Design Team
