Making tiny Art

Real quick note: here is your reminder! Today is the LAST day to submit your applications for the new Clear Scraps Design Team! Get those applications in!

Now on to Rita!

What can you do with a
clear acrylic shapes, a little cardboard,
glitter, stamps
and some art supplies?
Make an ATC!
Hey bloggers Rita Barakat here!
I stamped directly on the acrylic with Staz On ink.
Then added glitter on the back - make syou use one of those glues that dry
tacky ( I use Scrap Happy glue) only add the glitter after it's
completly dry!
* Tip*
To adhere the painted cardboard to the acrylic I used heavy gel matte medium
(You can use Zip Dry for this too)  only in areas that are covered; Like behind the glittery bird,
the little saying on the bottom and the letters on the top!
No one will ever know!
Unless you tell them! ; )

  • Peel (BOTH SIDES) off protective coating from bottom layer. Add patterned paper to top of acrylic.

DSC_0056

  • Stamp and embellish layering pieces as you would a scrapbook page. (Paper used: Pink Paislee. Stamps Used: Avocado Arts).
  • Adhere crocheted lace (just like you would a layout).

DSC_0060

  • Lay bottom embellished sheet down, using foam pop dots, place dot in each corner. (Same spot on each corner).

DSC_0062

  • Peel protective film off second sheet of 8X8 trimmed Clear Scraps acrylic.
  • Carefully lay acrylic onto foam pop dots.

DSC_0065

  • Using buttons or pearls, adhere OVER foam pop dots (to hide them), I used metal pieces. (Momenta).

DSC_0066

  • Add magnetic strips to the back or a hanger.

That's it! Easy and beautiful!

I Adore You!!!

Hello hello!! Adora here to share with you this little accordian frame I made fofmy grandson!!!I used the Clear Scraps Acrylic Scalloped Tags. I love to embellish my desk with little knick knacks like this! :) Perfect for tight spaces!!

Here's how to: First, trace and cut the shape of the tags onto the paper. Glue the paper on the back side of the acrylic. Paint the edge with a similar color of the paper or smear stazon ink. (it's a good way to hide the glued area) Then attached the tags side by side using a ribbon or twine. Use rub-ons and cut out stamped images to embellish the top side of the frame. There you have it! Fast and fun project accomplished :)

Here's a bigger view!

Other supplies used: Basic Grey Paper, Tim Holtz Paint and Zip Dry Glue!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time!!!

Get your cameras!

Hey there bloggers Rita Barakat here! I thought this would be a fun project to
share as I know many of you are vacation! You have to find something for all
of those vacation photos right? How about this cute little camera chipboard album?
Now you know I had to go and paint the pages, but if you are not inclined to paint it you
could cover your mini with your favorite paper! Isn't this a great shape?
Here's a couple of pages - we visited a shelter for
exotic cats and my son fell in love with the animals so of course I had to make him
his own little book! He shared this with all his friends!
!
He loves this book! This is the back cover - I don't usually do animals but this
was his idea & his book, so I had to try it.
The mane is very cool because it has texture - I used modeling paste!
I hope this gives you ideas - all those vacation photos in minis... That's a good idea!
P.S. If this is an album for your kids you might want to seal it,
I used matte gel medium, but any sealer will do!
Supplies
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos & PITT pens
Golden matte gel medium & gesso

For this card I used Clear Scraps 12X12 acrylic for the base (Trimmed down to 4X6),
I stamped the clouds, 4 of them. Then cut them out and
layered them. I used StazOn to stamp the kite trail onto the acrylic.

You Are Beautiful- Acrylic Wall Hanging by Pinky

Good morning Clear Scraps friends,

Pinky here today with an inspiring wall hanging that I made from the Clear Scraps Butterfly Mini Album.

I love that this mini album is large enough to be a great album or will make FIVE wall hangings or projects! That's a great deal if you love making these as gifts.

Pinky_Hobbs_Butterfly_Wall_Hanging_Clear_Scraps_Kanban2

For this piece I began by running Beacon Zip Dry around the edges, then coating with Clearsnap glitter.

I added vintage lace, and all the pre-cut butterfly embellishments.

Pinky_Hobbs_Butterfly_Wall_Hanging_Clear_Scraps_Kanban3

For the curved paper, I places the decorative acetate paper underneath, then curved the paper with my hands, adding foam pop dots to keep it up. then adhering the edges.

It never hurts to have these pre-made to hand out as gifts when someone has that one day they need a little encouragement.

Sometimes everyone needs to hear "You are beautiful".

Have a very blessed day and be sure to enter the Design Team Call!!
