Stained glass butterfly

 

With the new CHA releases, one of the cards I got to play was this Butterfly card from Clear Scraps' "Send-it Clear" line!!  These cards are so much fun to do - a challenge for sure to get all the layers to look good together, but so much fun! 

 

Since we just did a great swap with the people at Stampendous, I decided to use one of their giant stamps to dress up this butterfly too.

 

 

 

Obviously the stamp was WAY bigger than the butterfly and I didn't want the excess image stamped all over the rest of my clear card, so I put the 2 front pieces of the card together to form the butterfly and then masked the area around it with scraps of paper (red & blue in the photo)

 

 

This is what it looked like with the flower image stamped on the butterfly (with StazOn, of course).

 

 

Then I took my favourite-fav-fav Zig Painty Pens and coloured the stamped image from behind.  That's the beauty of acrylic, don'tcha know.....so many layers and surfaces to play with!!  

 

 

I finished the card off with a stamped sentiment on the front, a scalloped circle of paper behind the butterfly - to make it pop and also give me a place to write a little something-something to a friend maybe...?  and a quick run of a matching paint pen around the outside of the acrylic pieces (front and back).  Just a tip - it's a good idea to use something to border your acrylic projects like this....it helps your eye to stay focused on the project itself instead of wandering off the page/card, etc.  I attached my card fronts and back with the stickers provided but I also added a nice little border of Washi Tape at the seam!!  Love that stuff.

Acrylic Lock Card

Hi everyone! It's time for me to share some of my projects using the newly released Send it Clear Cards by Clear Scraps! I've used the Lock Send It Clear Card to create the card above.

To create this card, I've also used some products from Stampendous. (Gears Kiddo Stamps, aged gold embossing enamel and mica fragments), pattern papers by Bo Bunny (Weekend Market) and Dusty Attic (chipboard gears).

Here are some close-ups on it.

I've used Tsukineko Staz On for all my stamping on this card.

I've adhered some mica fragments on the edge of the lock and the tag.

And here is how it looks inside the card.

*NEW RELEASE!* Half Scallop Card w/ Pinky!

Good morning fellow crafters, 

Pinky here today...SO...how have you enjoyed the new releases so far?

Are you as in LOVE with them as I am?? I am swooning over these new Send It Clear Designs!

Today I wanted to share with you the Half Scallop design card I  created. 

I decided to leave this card mostly clear to highlight to beauty of acrylic.

I used my Viva Decor Pearl pen to outline the scalloped edge, then I adhered gemstones on the inside and outside of the card, so when you open it you see bling too. 

I added the sentiment to both sides as well.

These cards really push my creativity level and make it so easy to create acrylic cards.

I have to say I love my Clear Scraps!

New Send it Clear Butterfly Card

Good morning Clear Scraps friends!
I hope you had a safe and joyous 4th of July!

Today I will be showing you one of the newest card designs featuring the new Butterfly Card from Clear Scraps.  The new designs are fresh, fun, and so inspirational!

Here's a shot of the card opening up.
I stamped my swirls stamp on the front panels of the card, and colored in the design using Copic Markers on the backside of the panels.

Here the card is open all the way. I just used my printer to print out a message to adhere to the inside of the card.

I love the new designs!

I Love You Card..

(Have a fun and safe 4th of July)

Hello everyone!!! Exciting month for us here at Clear Scraps :) , YAY, we are featuring the newest  designs of the Clear Scraps-Send it Clear Cards. They have come up with some more fun & beautiful designs and I'm loving all of it! I feel so lucky to be one of the first to get a hands-on on this products :) . Thanks Clear Scraps!!!! This really is more than a card, it's a little keepsake that you want keep forever or a long time :)   

I used this beautiful Half Scallop Design.  Cut a piece of red paper and run into the Big Shot machine for texture. Then slightly smeared black ink on top. To highlight the scallop shape, I used Staz -on red ink. Top it with ribbon and flower, walla!!!

**BRAND NEW** Angel Card by Pinky!

Good morning Clear Scraps friends!

Pinky here with a BRAND NEW RELEASE Send It Clear Cards today!!

I am SO excited about the new designs from Clear Scraps this month, have you seen them all??

This s the new Angel design and it's so beautiful.

For this card I coated the angel in Becon Zip Dry, then I covered it with copper micro beads. It might sound weird but it's so pretty in person, so dimensional!

I used an SRM stitcker sentiment in the card itself and Bo Bunny papers. 

Then added a flourish (freehand) using the same micro beads and some puffy paint.

These new designs are so amazing, you have to check them out!
