**Tutorial**Creating A Courage Pin

Good morning Clear Scraps fans!

Pinky here today with a PIN I created using Clear Scraps acrylic.
Here is a step by step tutorial on creating this pin.
I began with this little chipbpard heart I decorated and sealed.
Trim acrylic 12X12 Clear Scraps acrylic piece down to 2X2"
Remove protective film on both sides, drip with alcohol inks.
After alcohol inks dry, using StazOn ink, stamp word
courage onto bottom of acrylic,  stamp 3-4 times
because of the alcohol ink. (Pink By Design stamp shown here).
Turn acrylic piece over-using StazOn ink dab onto edges
and onto acrylic itself. It adds age.
Flip piece over to front. Adhere heart to acrylic.
Coat entire project with Glastique set aside for 24 hours to dry.
Careful in crevices, do not fill completely.
Using metal pin coat with same alcohol ink.
Adhere pin to back of acrylic behind heart.
I hope you are inspired to play with Clear Scraps acrylic
not just for scrapbooking but for jewelry as well!

Acrylic Dress Form

Are We There Yet(resize)

Have you all tried to add some richness to your layout by simply using a few pieces of Clear Scraps Clearly Accent Embellishment? I always love to add different textures and elements to my layout to give a richer and more sophisticated look to it.

In the layout above, I've added two pieces if acrylic dress forms.

Here is a close-up on it.

I've added some pattern papers to it and to dress it up, I've added some crystal swirls. Try adding some acrylic element to your layouts!

A card, with dimension

Hi!  Cathy here :)

I have another Clear Scraps' "send-it-clear" card for you again today!

For this card, I wanted to try something new on it - a gel medium.  It took a long time for it to dry on the acrylic and I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to use over it so the pink is a combination of a few different paints that I played with....but all in all, I love the texture of the gel medium through a misting mask as the main feature of the card!

Here's a close-up.

Thanks!

Cathy

Try something different on your acrylic today :)

and while you're at it - send us a pic of what you made and try out for our DT!!

See this post for DT Call deets.

Thinking of You

Hi Clear Scraps friends! Tonya here today with you. I'm here to share another brand new Clear Scraps card from CHA. This card is the Half Scallop Send it Clear Card

Csbutterflyclearcard1

I used Scor-Tape to apply the glitter to the sides and then trimmed my paper so that there was strips of the clear acrylic showing between the glitter and the paper. It's a subtle way to show off the clear acrylic. The rest of the front of the card was embellished with hand dyed seam binding, die cuts and a wooden butterfly that was stamped and colored.

This next photo is the inside of the card.

Praying for You Card...

Hello everyone!!! It's me Adora and today I will share with you another "Send It Clear Card" project I made !  Today is the Angel card. I'm not much of a technique scrapper, I am really more of the cut and paste kind :).  But I do love to experiments  every now and then! So with this project I used  Stampendous Pearlized Mica Fragments. As you can see the Angel has been pearlized :)

Note:  To protect the rest of the acrylic, I only took out the protective plastic cover on the angel first then lightly smeared Beacon 3 in 1 Glue on the angel and applied the Micah - fragments over it. Cut off the excess Micah fragments on the edge for a smoother finish.

Here is the inside,  finishing it with pink paislee paper, 7Gypsies transparency and Sentimental Singles Stamp.

Wedded Bliss

Bells aren't just for Christmas, they are also perfect for weddings!

This card features that Clear Scraps Bell Send it Clear card.

Csbellwedding1

To decorate the bell on this card I simply used a paint brush to throroughly cover the bell with Modge Podge and then while it was still wet I liberally sprinkled it with an iridescant glitter. Instead of using the clear stickers that are provided I simply used my Crop-o-dile to make holes on both sides and tied that card together using two different colors of twine.

This next photo is the inside of the card.

Brand New Send It Clear Angel Card

Good morning Clear Scraps fans!
Leah here with you today to share another beautiful Send it Clear card featuring the Angel design. It is never too early to start making Christmas cards! When I saw this angel design, I knew that I wanted to emboss the angel in gold.

LRC_SenditClear_Angel

I traced the angel onto pattern paper, cut the angel out, then placed versa mark ink all over and quickly covered her in Stampendous aged gold embossing enamel. I then heat set the embossing enamel, and once cooled, adhered her to the Clear Scraps card.

LRC_SenditClear_Angel2

I used Websters Pages pattern paper and stickers to create my sentiment and design on the inside of the card.

LRC_SenditClear_Angel3
I left plenty of room on the inside panel to hand write a message to the recipient.

I can't wait to send this one out come Christmas time, my Grandmother will love it, as she collects Angels. I hope you found some inspiration today, join us daily for more projects from our design team!

Cheers,
Leah Crowe - Clear Scraps DT

ATC anyone?

Hey bloggers Rita Barakat here!
Did you know that Clear Scraps has ATCs?
These are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2  - an easy way to experiment with acrylic!
I stamped the image with Staz On Ink, used a rub on for the word FLY
and outlined some of the stamped images with Viva Decor Paint Pens!
Underneath I added a stamped peice of cardstock and
some Mica flakes from Stampendous.
I held it together with Viva Modelier creme in bronze!
You have to try this - it looks way cooler in person!

Ok on to Cathy's amazing project! :)

Metal Lock Card

Ok, not really metal....but metal-ish :)

IMG_2699

I wanted to heat emboss this lock but that is a really, really tricky procedure and I'd already melted one card this day so I decided to go with Plan B:  Silver leafing pens!  The paint in the silver leafing pens works great on acrylic and I put a thick enough coat on that it was wet for awhile and I could lay in some of the antique silver Mica chips to give it a more rustic, antique look.

IMG_2700

I finished off my card with more silver dots, Washi tape for binding it (in addition to the stickers provided) and also a vintage key hung by ribbon from the frame of the lock.  I think I'll add a lovey-dovey "you hold the key to my heart" sentiment or something when Valentine's Day rolls around.

Thanks,

Cathy

Brand New Send it Clear Lock Card

Hi friends!

Leah here today to show you another new Send it Clear acrylic card. This one features the amazing new lock design.

LRC_SenditClear_Lock

My favorite part to these cards is the locking design.
I created this card using the Be Mine Pink Paislee line, I thought it was perfect for this newest acrylic card.

LRC_SenditClear_Lock2

I layered the inside with stickers, Viva Decor Pearls, and also a sweet heart shaped key adhered to the front of the card. I didn't photograph it, but there is a large decorative sticker on the backside of the middle panel as well.

LRC_SenditClear_Lock3

The design possibilities are endless, and the people receiving these unique cards as gifts will treasure them always.

Stay tuned for more beautiful work from the DT!!

Clear Albums with Rita

Hey bloggers, Rita Barakat here!
I love mixing different elements to come up with something beautiful!
This is a top load 12x12 clear acrylic album from Clear Scraps
decorated with odds and ends from my stash!
Here you can see the full cover-
on the far left the spine was covered with iridescent paste mixed with Gelatos™. * If you do this, do it last as you have to set it aside to dry.
I used gel medium to adhere all the different elements onto the acrylic, some of the elements are on top - some are underneath the cover to give depth. On the far right I used a stencil with the iridescent paste on top of the acrylic.
The gold alphas are very old stickers from my stash. The paper underneath is from Pink Paislee, it already has
a resist design on it - I added color with Bubble Gum and Lemon Gelatos™.
I think this would make a great coffee table book don't you?
