Creating GLITTERY Frosting-Cupcake Album

Good morning Clear Scraps friends,

Pinky here with a FUN delicious project today. I wanted to create a pretty "frosting" for this Clear Scraps Mini Cupcake Album

PurpleCows_ClearScraps_CupcakeMiniAlbum_PinkyHobbs4

so I grabbed my very CHUNKY glitter and the Beacon Zip Dry coating the cover very well and setting out to dry. I also scored the patterned paper before I glued it onto the cover of the mini album. It added the wrapper feel.

PurpleCows_ClearScraps_CupcakeMiniAlbum_PinkyHobbs1This little Clear Scraps Mini Cupcake Album was perfect for my phone photos I find myself taking all the time. I only used 4 of the 6 pages because I wanted to save one to create like the cover for a card!

PurpleCows_ClearScraps_CupcakeMiniAlbum_PinkyHobbs5I hope you enjoyed today's post, and you try new things with acrylic!

A wee bit too short.

Hello Clear Scrap peeps! Tonya here today to share a layout with you.  Late last summer I went in to get a haircut. You see, I had had enough of my Marie Osmond (aka way too long of hair for your age) hairdo and was SO ready for much of it to be gone. I hadn't even thought about Locks for Love and when my hairdresser measured, I fell 1/2" short of being able to donate. :( I brought the cut off ponytail home anyway to show my family just how much hair was cut off. Turned out it made a great mustache for my oldest son!

                                                Mustache2

                                                Csmustache1

I started with a 12x12 sheet, machine stitched around the edge (one of the greatest things about Clear Scraps acrylic!) and then embellished.

                                                 Csmustache4

                                                Csmustache3

I added a Clear Scraps Arrow here. I first embossed it with a Spellbinders embossing folder and then outlined it with a Zig paint pen.

                                                Csmustache5

Stamped a sentiment directly onto my photo with StazOn ink.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

All Mixed Up Album

Hi again Clear Scraps friends. Leah here with you today to show you how I decorated my All Mixed Up Album.

Here's what the album looks like, don't you just love the different shaped pages?
CSAmix-2T
I dry embossed the edges of the pages using different sizzix texture folders.

Here's a close up of one of the edges.

After I embossed it, I used different alcohol inks to add a punch of color, I then lightly ran Stazon ink across the raised edges of some of the embossing.
Throught-out the album, I have used Acrylic embellishments from the Little Miss Molly set and also Fleur-d-lis embellishments.

LRC_ClearScraps_AllMixedUp_Easter11b

I'm always so impressed with how clear Clear Scraps acrylic truly is. You can emboss it, ink and stain it, and still see through behind whatever it is you lay it on.

I'll share a few more pages with you!

This page is one of my favorites. I embossed then I added Cactus Green Stazon ink to the rasied edges, then backed it with some beautiful pattern paper. I love how the colors mesh together so nicely.

XL Deco Shape

Peace(resize)

Hi everyone! It's Irene here! Have you tried using the fun Clear Scraps acrylic XL shape pieces as the base for your layouts? I've used them very often in my layouts. And in the layout above, it's perfect to showcase the peek through design on the top and left of the layout.

Here is a close-up on it.

DSC_6831
I've stamped on it with a buttons background stamp by Darkroom Door and later color it with Copic markers. This is such a fun design that you can play with in any way you want.

Tip: Always try to stamp  and color the image on different sides. This is prevent the markers from removing any of the earlier stamped images.

Happy trying!

Purrfect layout

Hello Clear Scraps friends, Leah here with you today to share a layout I made of my oldest daughter's cat, Hamburger. It's a funny name, one day I need to create a layout on just how his name was chosen. :)

I'm working with the wonderful Clear Scraps Acrylic 12x12 sheet, flowers from the Clear N Chip Little Miss Molly set, and the fabulous Expressions Clear Word Title, Purrfect.

LRC_ClearScraps_Purrfect

I used my Cameo Silhouette to create the beautiful doily background, then I adhered it to the 12x12 acylic sheet. From there, I built up the layers of the layout by adding close ups of this sweet cat of ours in the banner.

LRC_ClearScraps_Purrfect2

The title was so much fun to work with. Washi Tape is huge right now in the industry, and I wanted the title to really stand out. I laid down strips of washi tape all along the front of the title, overlapping as I saw fit. Then I turned it over to cut away the excess tape. I then outlined the edges with my Krylon Leafing Pen to really make it pop.

LRC_ClearScraps_Purrfect3

The washi tape is so thin, you can still see purrfectly through to the pattern papers behind it. It is such a cool effect!

LRC_ClearScraps_Purrfect4

For the flower, I used the same technique as outlined in my post on May 9th. However, on the center piece I sponged some Stazon in Blazing red on the backside to really make it sing. Isn't the result lovely? I also lightly inked the edges of the flower with distress ink. I finished off the layout by using my Viva Decor Pen to create some raised texture on the flower and around the circle doily on the layout.

There you have it, one purrfectly sweet layout using some of my favorite Clear Scraps products!! I hope you have a great day!

You are my sunshine

Hi Clear Scrap fans! Tonya here today to share with you a card that was made using a 12x12" Clear Scraps sheet of acrylic. It's super easy to make a clear card base with this product. Just simply cut out the size of card base you want and score it a couple of times down the middle. I score it on the front and the back a couple of times each and then just fold it in half.

Here is the card that I made using the above technique.

                                           Cssunshinecard1

                                           Cssunshinecard2

                                           Cssunshinecard3

I used the Simple Stories new Summer Fresh line for this. The center piece for the front of the card is actually one of their transparencies...a perfect fit for some Clear Scraps!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Imagine

Sometimes a layout speaks for itself.
No it does not have journaling but I was thinking of this
more like wall art.
I used a 12 x 12 sheet of acrylic from Clear Scraps and LOTS
of artsy products!
My little one is truly a girlie girl, so this is perfect for her!
Perhaps you have a girlie girl too?
I left the ares behind the stenciled heart clear acrylic sheet, you could put paper
behind it but because it'sbecause it is clear and I'm using it for wall art it will now match any decor.
The stencil , ribbon, paper and flowers are Prima and I used gesso and Gelatos formDesign Memory Craft to color the background.
The title is also acrylic - small acrylic expressions from Clear Scraps.
I hope this inspires you to create something pretty today!

Changes...

Hey hey bloggers Rita Barakat here!  OK today I am showing you three pictures of the same project
because I want to you see it from different angles!
Working with acrylic gives you beautiful results
but sometimes it is hard to photograph! What looks like a mirror above is actually
the reflection of the sky on the acrylic!!!!
At a different angle you can see my door in the background.
The acrylic XL Deco acrylic piece as a base is from Clear Scraps.
I used a Prima stencil and Gelatos to get that look in the center!
If you wanted to you could add paper behind it, but I like to see some of the clear show through.
 Another look!

Pennant Embellishments- All The Rage!

Good morning Clear Scraps friends,
