Hello Clear Scraps friends, Leah here with you today to share a layout I made of my oldest daughter's cat, Hamburger. It's a funny name, one day I need to create a layout on just how his name was chosen. :)
I'm working with the wonderful Clear Scraps Acrylic 12x12 sheet, flowers from the Clear N Chip Little Miss Molly set, and the fabulous Expressions Clear Word Title, Purrfect.
I used my Cameo Silhouette to create the beautiful doily background, then I adhered it to the 12x12 acylic sheet. From there, I built up the layers of the layout by adding close ups of this sweet cat of ours in the banner.
The title was so much fun to work with. Washi Tape is huge right now in the industry, and I wanted the title to really stand out. I laid down strips of washi tape all along the front of the title, overlapping as I saw fit. Then I turned it over to cut away the excess tape. I then outlined the edges with my Krylon Leafing Pen to really make it pop.
The washi tape is so thin, you can still see purrfectly through to the pattern papers behind it. It is such a cool effect!
For the flower, I used the same technique as outlined in my post on May 9th. However, on the center piece I sponged some Stazon in Blazing red on the backside to really make it sing. Isn't the result lovely? I also lightly inked the edges of the flower with distress ink. I finished off the layout by using my Viva Decor Pen to create some raised texture on the flower and around the circle doily on the layout.
There you have it, one purrfectly sweet layout using some of my favorite Clear Scraps products!! I hope you have a great day!
