More Acrylic Cone ..

I love it so much I have to make another one! :) It really makes a great little gift.  We all love handmade gifts, they are always special and fun.  I made a smaller version of the first one  I made.  I used the 8" acrylic circle and made the the acrylic birds using some of my left over  acrylic scraps. I stamped the acrylic and cut out, then color it with stazon.

Here's a  closer look.  The flowers are by Prima, tag by K&Co and bird stamp  by Martha Stewart. Oh, and I love dress forms, I have a little collection of it!! :)

Until next time! :)

Selective embossing on Clear Scraps Christmas ornaments

I love to run my Clear Scraps acrylic through my Big Shot or Cuttlebug.  It embosses so nicely without cracking or warping.  For this set of Christmas ornaments, I used a little bit of creative placement to get exactly what I wanted in the center of my ornament.

I started with these, Clear Scraps Christmas ornaments:

I used this Countdown to Christmas embossing folder from Cuttlebug,

My acrylic piece was too small to fill up the whole folder and I didn't want just random numbers on my ornament - I wanted them to be Christmasy...so I carefully placed each ornament over the large star with the 25 on it.  That way, each one has 25 in the center of the ornament and the numbers that surround it are, for the most part, cut off or indistinguishable, leaving 25 as the feature.

25th ornaments

To further highlight the 25 on myornaments, I used alcohol ink to colour the acrylic and then colored in the star around the 25 with a Silver leafing Pen (Krylon).  A little silver ribbon and they're ready to hang up for Christmas!

Thanks,

Cathy

Merry Christmas Card

Hi everyone! I know it's a bit late to share any Christmas projects. I just want to share this here so that you all could grab up these mini acrylic shapes when you can find them in your store or online. They are a perfect piece to create a unique Christmas card.

Merry Christmas Card(resize)
I've used an a mini acrylic ornament by Clear Scraps on this card. These acrylic shapes are so easy to decorate. You can cover it with pattern paper, stamp on it, glitter it, ink it and add rub-ons on it. You can use it to be the center piece on ther cover of the card.

Here are some close-ups on it.

DSC_4273I've used Bo Bunny's Snow Fall line of papers and some Noel rub-ons to create this card.

DSC_4270I've also used some gorgeous Petaloo flowers to decorate this card.

Hope you all find this card inspirational! Happy creating!

Tri Fold Frame Fun!

Good morning on a very frigid and wintery Tennessee morning,

Pinky here again with the beautiful Clear Scraps Tri-Fold Frame design today.

If you have not tried the cast acrylic pieces from Clear Scraps, they are absolutely incredible. For this frame I spritzed it with Smooch Spritz, then dusted it with glitter for a shimmery effect. Then I added the photo matting & embellishments.

Now it is ready for the perfect photos. I simply tied some soft ribbon to hold it together, it was not only simple but it makes a fantastic gift!

These Tri-Fold Frames stand alone anywhere.

A Breezy Layout

Hello everyone! As most of you know that we don't have winter in Malaysia and it is not possible to capture any winter pictures to scrap. I really love the blues and whites which is in most winter themed papers. So, instead of a winter layout, I've decided to create a "breezy" layout.

The Moments(resize)

I"ve used an acrylic XL scallop shape by Clear Scraps to create this layout. Adding tons of blues and whites in the flowers, ribbons, chipboard and papers.

Here are some close-ups on it.

Hope you all find this layout inspirational!

Lifetime Of Love, Pocketful Of Memories....*Video Tutorial*

Happy New Year everyone, Pinky here with a Clear Scraps layout today.

I don't usually make pages for other people but this was a special occassion. A friend of mine who is a Cancer survivor asked me to make her a special page that would hold many photos. After thinking and sketching a few ideas I decided to go with a strong Clear Scraps 12X12 page as the base, then stitch all around it.

LoveLO1

I wanted the page to be strong and very special, what better was to make a special unique page then to use acrylic! If you look closely you can see I used my sewing machine to stitch all around. At the end of the post I will link a sewing video that shows just how to stitch through Clear Scraps acrylic.

LoveLO2

I used a denim pocket to hold all the clippings and photos, adding vintage lace and MANY pearls with the Viva Decor Pearl Pens. Oh and the pocket is just a denim pocket from my son's old jeans....I have been saving it for a while now.

LoveLO4
I hope the page reflects that special love and is cherished for many years.

Here is the video I promised...

I hope you enjoyed today's post.
