Classy Little Cards With Acrylic
January 12, 2012
Good morning from PINKY!
Happy crafty Thursday....if you are afraid to try acrylic, making a card is the absolutely easiest way to jump in and try it. No need for anything special, just a piece of Clear Scraps acrylic (I used the Clear Scraps 12X12 sheet) paper and embellishments. All I did for this cute masculine card was....
use my trimmer to trim the acrylic to 4X5, then ink the edges with black StazOn ink. Remember StazOn is a Clear Scraps recommended ink because it is solvent based.
After that I trimmed out a 1X5" border and a 4X5 1/4" paper. I used Beacon 3N1 to adhere to strip to the top of the acrylic, leaving the paper above about 1/4" and I glued it to the back piece of paper.
You can easily open and close the card, adding your writing or sentiments after it dries. A perfect way to introduce yourself to acrylic and creating with acrylic.
It is easy and really makes a project you can be proud of. Plus it is so unique and fun. I am so excited about the new releases coming up, you just have to check back! It is going to be an amazing year!
