Christmas Crafts With Rita

Hey bloggers!
Rita Barakat here with something really easy and fun you can do with your Christmas Crafts!

The details...
Don't you love when you get an idea and it actually works?
I want you to pay attention to that little tree -
Clear Scraps actually sells 12x12 sheets of acrylic and I used
a Spellbinders leaf die to cut out this tree! I cut two leaves out of the
sheet, bent them in half and adhered them together-just a little down
the center with a little glue. I added snow and cemented it
down to the cardboard base with Snow Tex.
This was so easy you could create a whole forest of trees!

And you cant really see it in the picture but the windows have a stained glass
look - I cut squares out of the 12x12 acrylic sheet from Clear Scraps to fit to fit each wall and colored them with
my Big Stampers Brush from Faber Castell Design Memory Craft! It looks really pretty
with a little fake candle lit inside!
Happy Crafting!

~Christmas Gifts w/Pinky Part 2

Good morning my friends,

Pinky here with another personalized wall hanging for a friend, using Clear Scraps.

As I said before I really love the durability of the Clear Scraps XL DOTS.

ChristmasGift2

For this one since it had a Christmas theme I took some Beacon Fabri-Tac, before I added the paper and embellishments. I smeared it all around the edges, now you could use a brush but I am going to be perfectly honest with ya, I used my fingers right over the sink! LOL Honestly just smeared that glue on. After I rinsed my hands I sprinkled red glitter on the smeared adhesive.ChristmasGift1

I let the glitter dry but wanted a little more snowy effect so I took clear Stickles and ran it all around the egdes. I liked that snowy look so much I did the same thing with the GREETINGS. Now that one did take a while to dry but it was worth it, it's so fun in person too!

After all the goodies dried I assembled the pieces and added the XXL brads I made with my i-top. I used a wide silver ribbon and last but not least I added little stickle dots all over the Clear Scraps acrylic exposed areas.

It was super fun to make and my friend just loves it! Really these make the perfect hand made gift. I am going to have a hard time not making many more.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, and Happy Holiday season, have a wonderful weekend.

Another Clear Christmas Card!

Good morning my friends! Pinky here with another Clear Scraps creation.

Did you see Irene's AMAZING 3-D card yesterday? Wow I am floored, it was stunning.

Today I have another Christmas card to share that I embossed using my die cutting machine. After I embossed it I added stickles to the embossed area to make it pop out. I think it's super cute and cannot wait to send it to my in laws in Oregon!

I used the 12X12 Clear Scraps acrylic sheet and just cut it down with my trimmer, you know the Clear Scraps acrylic cuts easily with your trimmer or scissors.

ChristmasCard1I did use a pretty glitter background paper and I am thinking I will punch out of cut my writing and just glue it inside.
ChristmasCard2
I added some rosy trim and a hard clear snowflake I had in my stash, I think it will be much appreciated when all is said and done! :)

I love making a few special cards and this year I am doing pretty well with 10 so far, not too shabby if I do say so myself. Maybe I can start in July next year and hit 25! hehe

I hope you have a wonderfully creative day today.

3D Christmas Card

3D Acrylic Christmas Card(resize)
Hello everyone! Today I would like to share with you all this 3D Christmas card which I've created using an acrylic sheet from Clear Scraps. This is a very interesting 3D Christmas card and perfect as a home decoration too. To create this card, I've used tons of Shimmerz Paints and Bo Bunny's stamps and rub-ons.

Here are some close-ups on it.

This is such a fun and easy card to create and would definitely make the recipient happy. There is a video tutorial to it at my blog.  Check it out if you wish.

Believe Layout.

Good monday morning everyone.  So, the tree is up, a few lights outside are hanged, some cards are mailed -  yes Chirstmas season is upon us once again. The happiest season of all and also the busy-est :) . Ahh I wish everyday is Christmas :) well except for the presents and all the good food, you know what I mean - the spirit of peace and joy of celebrating the birth of our saviour.  Speaking of the season, here is a Christmas layout I made using the Clear Scraps Clear N Chip Believe .  I used the acrylic Christmas Tree and word Believe to embellish my layout. I run the tree on my big shot to add texture and lightly color it with stazon. With the Believe word, I cover it entirely with a Kylon silver leafing  pen to give it a  glow thatl match the background paper I used.  Other supplies I used: QQ Dec page kit.

~Handmade Christmas Gift Ideas With Clear Scraps~

Good morning, Pinky here with a new project.

I love making personalized hand made gifts for the holidays and this year is not different. Clear Scraps acrylic make an amazing base for a project. I started making these personalized wall hangings for friends and they have been such a huge hit, I decided to make them this year as Christmas gifts. Not only do they show that you really took the time to make something special but they are so versatile!

For this wall hanging I used the Clear Scraps XL Dots (this one was 8"). I personalized it with my friend's last name and added Viva Decor Silver Pearl Pen pearl dots.

The wet look....on acrylic

I am all about the instant.

High-speed internet, drive-through coffee and microwaves.

But there are a few things in this life that are worth waiting for.

One of these things that I'm willing to wait for is Tsukinecko's Goosebumps.  Because of the nature of this product, it does not dry quickly on acyrlic because acrylic is a non-pourous surface.....but given a couple of hours....it's a beautiful thing.

On these butterflies from the Mini Butterfly Album, I first used Eggplant alcohol ink and then a quick spray of Goosebumps.  When they were dry, I used a heat gun to soften and curl up the edges of the butterflies' wings.  I love how the light reflects off all the glossy bumps from the Goosebumps.

It makes the butterfly a beautiful central image for a card.
