Mini Deco Album part 1
December 22, 2011
Good morning my friends, it's Leah here with you today. I wanted to make something for my oldest daughter since she was recently in our local Christmas Parade with her High School Marching Band. This is her first year in HS, and we were all very excited to capture photos of her first parade experience. Unfortunately, I had my camera on the wrong settings so my photos were really terrible.
I not only needed this to be a quick project, but something that would still showcase my terrible photos in a great way, and I knew the Clear Scraps Mini Deco Album would suit my needs perfectly.
I printed 5 photos sized 2x2 and trimmed 5 pattern papers to 2x2.
Once I had these cut down to size, it took only minutes to adhere the papers and photos to the pages to establish the base of the mini album.
As you can see, having your photos and papers the same size make it easy for lining things up nicely in the album.
Even though the photos are awful, I used them anyways because part of the memory of her first parade was my mistakes with the camera.
A couple of our favorite floats.
I love twine, but I especially love the twine framing my photo and journaling in the album!
This is really easy to do! All you need is a craft pick and a 1/2" piece of foam.
Place your acrylic on top of the foam; with your craft pick, push and twist to create a hole big enough for a needle and twine to pass through.
I pushed my craft pick about 1/2" down the needle.
Once you create your holes, thread your twine and create your frame!
I am not quite finished with this mini deco album yet.
Stay tuned for part 2 coming soon!!
Hugs and Merry Christmas,
Leah Crowe
