Square Scallop Album

Hello, Adora here, wishing you a happy Monday :)

Today I will share with you this album I made for my grandson, Ari!!! these photos were all taken in  Spring! he is quite a poser :), he loves the camera and the outdoors.  A perfect combination for grandma, who is  camera ready! My kids calls me "tourist" coz I always lugged my camera with me almost everywhere I go! :) I am trying not to be "in your face" kind of photo taker but sometimes it's hard to avoid. LOL!!! I just do it with my kids though. Anyhow back to my project, I used  Clear Scraps Square Scallop Album to house these photos of Ari.

Technique/How to:

For the album cover; I painted it with Tim Holtz distress cracle paint. Waited for it to dry and then stamped several image on top of the paint. (to protect the cracle paint from peeling, I also used Gloss- Lustre finish Mod Podge on top);  Then I cut a square acrylic shape and added texture  around using  sizzix machine for texture and used it  to frame the photo. Then I added the wings acrylic shape. (see  how to make your own acrylic shapes). For the inside  pages of the album, I simply  drop several colors of alcohol ink to form a circle  for background!!! Then I added all my photos and embellishments!

Supplies used: Clears Scraps Square Scallop Album, Tom Holtz Distress cracle Pain, Alcohol Ink, and Sizzinx Big Shot.

~Thinking OUTSIDE The Mini Album!~

Good morning and hello to the 1st day of November!

Pinky here from TN playing with Clear Scraps again,

when I see a mini album I am always in awe, as I was sitting here the other day looking at the Clear Scraps mini album, I got to thinking "This would make more than a mini album, it would make a fantastic wall hanging!" and that is exactly what I did with it!

I took the Clear Scraps Sassy Mixable Album which is about 8X8 (perfect size for a wall hanging), I took one page out and created this sign!

HappyFall2

Just think how many wall hangings you could make from one album! Just like the dry erase boards from the Clear Scallop Square Album.

HappyFall1

You can make a special wall hanging for every season!

Thanks for sharing with me today, I cant wait for next time.

Sweet...

that is what these photos are. This is my daughter and my mom's brand new puppy. It was love at first sight between these two!

I started with an XL Scallop shape (the circle one of the two that come in the pack). Pulled out my Unity stamps and StazOn ink and then stamped around the edge of the layout. I always love the dimension that stamping gives to the acrylic, it's not one you can feel but one that you can see.

All of the papers and embellishments came from the Vintage Vogue line by Collage Press for Pink Paislee.

Finished it off with a Zig Paint pen in purple around the edge.

Happy Holidays Angel

Are you all up for a Christmas project? It's always not too early to start creating them.

Happy Holidays Angel(resize)

This is a published project which I've created sometime ago using some pieces of the "Believe banner" and  a small acrylic circle piece by Clear Scraps. I thought it is time to share with you all more Christmas inspired projects hoping to inspire you all in someway.

DSC_0123
To create the wings, I've used two triangle pieces from the believe banner and embossed them using Sizzix Big Shot and an embossing folder. Then, ink it with a white solvent ink.

DSC_0120
I've also embossed the acrylic circle and use it to mat a chipboard embellishment on the angel.

Now, do you feel like embossing on some acrylic after today's project? I hope so.

Supplies: Clear Scraps Believe Banner, Clear Scraps Circle Shapes; Pattern Papers: Bo Bunny; Inks: Tsukineko, Ranger Ink; Stamps: Bo Bunny; Flower: Bo Bunny; Tools: Sizzix Big Shot and embossing folders.

~The Girls Of Fall Ball~

Good morning my friends, Pinky here from beautiful Tennessee.
Locally our Fall Baseball season is over now, and we
affectionately call it "Fall Ball".
Of course I take hundreds of photos
on the field but I also take many photos of the little girls
and boys who come to watch and play.

So I decided to make a collage layout with these adorable
sweet little faces.
Of course I used my Clear Scraps acrylic 12X12 sheet as the base,
**a MUST HAVE for any crafter!**

then I layered on the Basic Grey Indie Bloom papers and stickers.
I also used my copper Viva Decor Pen as pearl accents,
and some vintage lace from my friend.

Then I added bling with my Imaginisce i-rock tool.

I really just relaxed and had fun making this layout.
I love all those sweet smiles :) Makes me so happy!
♡♡
Until next time my friends.

Boo Banner

I can't believe that there is only 11 more days until Halloween. Which means we will soon be hearing Christmas music everywhere we go!

For today's project I have made a banner for my mantle...one that says "BOO" in honor of the upcoming trick or treat day! For the base I used the Large Banners by Clear Scraps. Cut the letters from my Silhouette machine and paired it all up with printed papers and embellishments from Echo Park, My Mind's Eye, and American Crafts.

                                                  Csboobanner1

The orange ruffles are the Mistables canvas ruffles by Pink Paislee and I misted them with a Sparkly orange and black mist.  The skulls and crossbones were stamped on using black Staz On ink.

                                              Csboobanner4

                                                Csboobanner3

                                                 Csboobanner2

Look closely and you can see the bats and ghost that are hanging off of the ends of each banner piece. On those acrylic pieces I simply covered them with Modge Podge and then before it dried I sprinkled them with glitter.

Here are a few other shots with a different background...

Hope you enjoyed this project today. Have a "spooktacular"Halloween!

Here are some close-ups of it.

I've attached the pattern paper cut outs from the back of the acrylic frame to keep the glossy front of it and later outline it with a Viva Decor pearl pen. I really love the versatility of these frames.

What are you creating these days?

Scraps of Clear Scraps

I use Clear Scraps' 12x12 sheets of acrylic for a whole host of projects - from cards and layouts, to boxes and embellishments....and sometimes, what I end up with are little scraps of acrylic lying around that I can't bear to throw out.  These 3 cards were made with scraps like this but you could also cut into a single sheet of acrylic and get these cards and more from the same sheet.  Be creative and stretch your dollars :)

Acrylic birthday card with alcohol ink on card

Birthday Wishes:  I took small pieces of leftover acrylic, cut them into squares (Fiskars paper trimmer) and rounded the edges (WRMK Corner Chomper) and coloured them with alcohol ink (Ranger).  Then I adhered them to a card front, placed random flowers around and a sentiment.

Hoppy Birthday Jewel toad

Happy Birthday:  I had this very small strip of acrylic lying around but it was the perfect size for a rub-on sentiment and 2 jeweled brads.

Embossed #7 card

Happy 7th Birthday:  This scrap of acrylic was a little bit larger - large enough to fit in a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I ran it through, inked the back with teal ink (StazOn), the front with green (also StazOn) and highlighted the one number I really wanted to stand out in orange (Marvy Paint marker)  It's attached to a card front with 4 brads.

I know you already can't bear to throw out your paper scraps and your ribbon scraps.  Now you have one more thing that can be used down to the very last scrap:  acrylic.  Let's see you get creative!!

Thanks,

Cathy

Fall Arrives With Love & Thanks

Good morning from beautiful TN.

Pinky here with a Clearly Accent Embellishments creation today.  I love Fall and I also love all the love, thankfulness, and giving that arrives with it.

If you have not checked out the Clearly Accent Embellishments and you are a card maker, you really should. They are perfect for stamping on, embossing, and even heat molding. They are the perfect size for a sentiment too!

CSCard1

Here I stamped directly on the Frames Embellishment using StazOn of course, and edging it with some funky glitter. It's the perfect combination of the fall holidays.

I hope you fall is a warm and thankful season, thanks for sharing with me today.
