Yes, some new Clear Scraps!!

Clear Scraps always surprises me when they reveal their new releases. Even this time I was amazed when I openend my box with new goodies.

This time you will find some amazing acrylic embellishments! Like this small banner and shape.

P6130251

I embossed the banner with a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder which was given to the DT. Thanks Tim!

I also used Ranger ink to color the acrylic shapes.

P6130253

I used Pink Paislee and Core'dinations Cardstock.

And there is more to come! You will love it all!

Halloween Banner

I  know, you're probably wondering why I'm posting a halloween project in the middle of July. Well because I couldn't resist showing off what I did with the mini bat, ghost and pumpkin albums that Clear Scraps is debuting this month. I'm just too excited!!!

Halloween Banner

Halloween acrylic banner (3)
So for this project, I decided to combine all three mini albums into one long banner. Since the word Halloween is super long, I thought that mixing the shapes up (being all of them relate to the theme) would help me spell out my title and add that extra emphasis to my themed project

Halloween acrylic banner (5)
I first stamped some flourish design on each of the shapes using Versamark ink pad. I then painted them a bright orange color and then gave the edges a finished look with some purple Stickles glitter glue.

Halloween acrylic banner (7)
I then used the holes (which it already had) and tied a purple ribbon through them to connect all the shapes. I then punched out circles from Core'dinations green cardstock, matted it with black cardstock and added my glittered letter stickers to them. I adhered this to the shapes with foam adhesive for that the dimensional look.

So there you have it. Mini albums are not just to make tiny books but also if you combine a few, they make for a pretty cool banner!

Till next time,

Grace

Going Batty!

Okay, so I admit it - I am not much of a Halloween person. But these new bat shapes from Clear Scraps were so much fun to play with, and in the end they are not so much spooky, as spectacularly glamorous, lol!!

I hope you enjoy this quick and easy tutorial, making some fun little seasonal (albeit a few months away) decor!

Less Than 6 Months Until Old St. Nick Is Here...

Oh it is that wonderful time of year, the time when we know the year is halfway done and the holidays will be here before we know it! With the summer heat, the last thing you probably are thinking about is snowflakes and sledding but I find this is a great time to get started on those holiday projects. December 24th will be here sooner than we all plan on it!
One of the most lovely things I enjoy about the holidays is decorating. Every year my decorations seem to go up later and later. This year I have decided I will start working on my decorations now. If I create just one decoration a month, I will have plenty of wonderful, handcrafted items to decorate with come the end of November.
I decorated this Clear Scraps Acrylic Stocking with nothing more than a bit of trim, Embossing Powder, and Ink. Easy Peasy!

  Supplies:
Liberally apply the Pigment Ink to the stamp to cover the image on the stamp completely.

After the stamp has been liberally inked, stamp it onto the back of the acrylic stocking. Continue inking and stamping until the entire surface of the stocking is covered with the pattern. Sprinkle  Embossing Powder in White over the stamped areas. The powder will stick to the Pigment ink. Gently tap the acrylic stocking to knock the excess powder from the project. Use a Craft Funnel to put the embossing powder back into its container.
Heat the image to cause the embossing powder to set as well as to dry the Pigment ink. Handle with care as the acrylic does get hot. The acrylic becomes pliable when heated so lay on a flat surface to cool.
Ink the edges of the acrylic on the front with Colorbox Fluid Chalk Cat's Eye Inkpad in Chestnut Roan. Add chandelier crystals with brass rings. Tie a gold satin ribbon in a bow through one of the rings to act as a hanger. Ink the edges of the punched paper snowflakes and ornaments with Colorbox Fluid Chalk Cat's Eye Inkpad in Chestnut Roan. Tie gold cord in the ornaments and add to the front of the stocking. Add the snowflakes to the stocking with pearl bling in the centers and hang in your favorite spot.
Lovely and easy, right? I plan to hang several of these on a pine garland across the top of a large curio cabinet in my dining room. This project took only minutes to create and was very affordable to boot. Hope you are inspired to get started on your holiday gifts, cards, and decor this July - it's easy with Clear Scraps!

Rejoice.....

Good day everyone!!! It's me Adora and today I will share with you this project I made using this awesome

Clear Scraps "XL Dots".

I really fell inlove with this project, :) ) !! I have a special place for it in my bedroom, besides my nightstand. And what a great  thing to see and to be reminded of every morning .  :)   And  for the technique I used the popular alcohol ink magic. I used variety of colors and a  drop of alcohol ink blending solution all over the surface.  It really has a very cool effect that makes an awesome background. It works so well with acrylics.

Word Books!

Hey bloggers! Rita Barakat here!
Did you know that Clear Scraps can custom make word books in clear and/or acrylic?
I love this idea especially for kids - do you have any idea how hard it was to find the name "Rita" in all those fun things had?
The possibilities are endless!
I made this mini for our new experiences in our new home state and I love it!
What word do you think you would like to  scrap?
(Papers are all for Pink Paislee's Home Town Summer collection!)

Acrylic Album, Completely Customizable!

These Clear Scraps Top Load acrylic albums are my new love. I ADORE creating with them because they can be as unique as your layouts, truly customizing your album to the way you customize your pages!

This is the Deco 8x8 acrylic album...

8x8topload
I first dripped a TON of alcohol ink on the backside of the acrylic front, and then coated the                   edges in my favorite distressor, crackle paste.

8x8toploaddetail

Oh! And what's that beautiful butterfly shape??? That's right! It is one of the new CHA products... ooh, la, la! Butterfly shapes!!! An instant fave of mine, you can be sure that these will be on many of my products to come!

8x8toploaddetail1

Did you know that you can emboss on the acrylic albums too? Embossing powders work fabulously... but here I used an upcoming Shimmerz product, called Enamelz.... amazing sparkle on top of that acrylic!!

I also used StazOn in opaque white to stamp on some beautiful leaf/branches, and added gems and more embellies to oomph it up. I LOVE how it turned out, and know that you will love playing with your acrylic album too.

xx Heidi

~Using Clear Scraps XL Shaped Acrylic As Your Layout Base~

Have you tried the XL Acrylic Shapes from Clear Scraps?

I find myself going back to these basics again and again! I use them just like I use card stock, the perfect durable base for any layout. In fact I prefer them to card stock because of the amazing shapes!

For this layout I used the XL Deco Shape

FallBall1

I never worry about my layout bending or

wrinkling when it is on these amazing shapes!

FallBallLO2
My boys are so excited about more baseball in the fall I had to chronicle it.

If you are afraid to try acrylic, this is the perfect way to try it out!

I promise you won't regret it.
