 I made this banner with Clear Scraps Pennants and manipulated my Ta Da Creative Studios papers with my Cuttlebug and Tim Holtz Alterations Paper Rosette die! Did you know that rub ons look great on acrylic?

Bedazzled!!!

Hello everyone! Adora here to share with  you another quick way of dressing up acrylics  for use to embellish  cards or layouts!  Since we are approaching Independence Day, I created this card with a quick technique / tutorial how to bedazzled acrylics! It’s really  quick and easy! and its fun to do.

Supplies Used:

There O Web Sheet –  This is a very strong bonding double sided adhesive, perfect for this project.

Micro Beads – Y ou can fird this at  Michaels. I think Martha Stewart has this also.

  Step 1 Trace and cut the acrylic  onto the Ther O Web Sheet.

Step 2: Peel off one side of the adhesive sheet and adhere.

Step 3  Peel off the top side of the Adhesive sheet

Step 4:  Apply the micro beads.

Step 5

Apply a firm push to have the loose beads to fill open spaces.

and here it is, a beaded acrylic star!

 

 I really like how it turned out! and I'm going to make some more!! :))

Explore butterfly mini album

 Happy Monday everyone. Grace here to share with you a mini album I made using the Butterfly acrylic brag bag.

I love how acrylic is such a neutral and clean base that you can pretty much "flavor" it up anyway you like it. In this particular project, I used some Viva Decor pearl pen inking the edges to emphasize the shape of the acrylics. I then added some papers from the Ad Lib collection of My Mind's Eye. I love how the colors just pop against the clear acrylic foundation.

another beauty of this specific acrylic album is when it's opened, then you can really see the cute shape of the butterfly. Isn't it fun?

Corona Del Mar

 

A few years back we discovered a nice, semi-private beach in part of Corona Del Mar, near Newport Beach, CA. It is a bit of a hike down a crazy hill but well worth it -- privacy, tide pools, clean sand...it's still my favorite. This summer our first beach trip was to Corona Del Mar. Our niece and nephews joined us and we had a grand time.

  

I used a Clear Scraps Chipboard Uturn Album to capture these wonderful "first of summer" memories of my family. The arrows lend a fun, whimsical feel to the album while the beach themed papers I chose help continue the beach theme throughout the book. The Uturn Album is perfect for any occasion that includes action or traveling - change the paper to change the theme but the action of the album remains the same. To cover the pages of the album, I adhered them to paper and then cut them out with a craft knife.

 

 

 

I covered the 3 holes in the album pages with the patterned paper and punched new binding holes with the Bind It All machine. I then added extra tags, postcards, and kraft envelopes as mini pages between the chipboard pages. I used 1" Antique Brass O-Wires to bind the book.  I then added photos and embellishments.

The largest star from the Clear-N-Chip Carson's Park pack nests perfectly in the star on the second page of the Uturn Album. I glued the acrylic star from the Carson's Park pack to coordinating paper and added it to the star shaped tab on the Uturn album.

The Uturn Album creates a sense of action and fun in this summer themed mini. The possibilities with this album are limitless!

Clear expressions as a title...simply perfect!!

I'm in love with these clear expressions.

They are perfect for title work and they really catch your eye if you use them on a layout.

Here I used the word 'dream'. I added alcohol ink on them and some liquid pearls to add some dots on the silver ink.

Don't you just love the font?!

Vacation Word Album!!!

 

Good Monday morning everyone, hope you all had a good weekend!  it's me Adora!!  

And today, I will share with you  this project I made using the

"Clear Scraps Custom Acrylic/Chipboard Word Album" !

I wanted this album  to show  how much fun this vacation was for my family.  I took so much pictures of  fun highlights during this vacation that I wanted to incorporate in this album.  And for technique I used to create these pages I did  a lot of tracing and cutting;  leaving some pages uncovered allowing to view multiple  pages at a time; using transparencies, rub-ons, stamping which becomes the design element for the next page; and  then adding some embellishments for texture.

Hope you'll  enjoy looking at this project as much as I enjoyed creating it. :) thanks!!
