Trainbanner1

I used the awesome Basic Grey Wander line of papers and embellishments .

Trainbanner2

I also used the ClearSnap Smooch Spritz for the stars, then I sealed them using the PYMII.

Trainbanner3

It worked perfectly! The Smooch dries really well on the acrylic if you let it set for a few minutes.

Trainbanner4

I added buttons to the wheels and a little circle scalloped punch.

Trainbanner5

Oh and some Viva Decor Pearl Pen on the edges! Perfect for a pop!

Trainbanner6

The best part? When my son saw it he smiled and squealed!!!

This is why I scrapbook....I have man ideas on my blog so come check it out http://www.blueyecicle.blogspot.com/

Where's Mickey?

DON'T FORGET THE BLOG HOP IS STILL OPEN! CHECK OUT YESTERDAY'S POST AND TOMORROW'S WINNER!!!!!!

When I received this Mickey-shaped album I needed to think how I would use it. I didn't have pictures of a Mickey or Minnie experience. So I just thought I would scrap it like I also scrap other shaped albums. Why not??

So here's my Mickey album, transferred into a nice mini album about a trip to a fun park with the girls.

( if you have cats I think it would be a very nice album as well! )

A clear mini album

Hi there.

There's been a few conversations between the DT's here that there's still a few crafters out there that are "afraid" to touch Acrylics. That they don't know what to do with it.

Well to be honest with you, I too was afraid at one point but not anymore. Let me share with you an Acrylic album I made that I'm sure you'll see very simple in technique but provides a great background without taking too much away from the clearness aspect of the Acrylic album.

My Aero family mini

My aero family

I used the  NEW Acrylic 6x6 Regular Album from Clear Scraps and the only thing I did to dress it up is by adding a lavender paint on it. I smeared it on the back of the acrylics so the sheen/shine effect of the acrylic will still see through the pages. I also added a line of liquid pearl all around the edges of the pages so you can easily see the shape of the album.

My aero family (1)

I also added blocks of bold pattern papers on top of the acrylics to give it that pop of color.

My aero family (2)

In the inside pages, I stuck with one design. I also made sure that the placement of my pattern papers are in the same positions for both front and back sides of each page. This way, my adhesive will not show.

My aero family (3)

A few sprinkles of layered flowers and journaling blocks finished off my book.

As you can see, Acrylics are not as "scary" as they may seem. I say try painting on it today. You never know, you might just be inspired to do more with your acrylic. Much more than I did! It's just a matter of time before you're hooked to the  "Clear Scraps Acrylic Albums".

Thanks for stopping by.

Also used:

Flowers from Accent Creative Designs

Liquid pearl from Viva Decor

Circle journaling blocks from Jenni Bowlin Studios

It's the little things...

Hello all!Rita here! Happy New Year! Time to make new years resolutions...well maybe LOL! I have decided to try a little harder at making cards as they don't come easy to me. Sometimes a card can really make someones day so this is what I came up with and I have to say I liked the results! I used white cardstock, a page from  Clear Scraps mini deco album, my Cuttlebug and  the Festivus collection from TaDa Creative Studios!
I used a little Alcohol Ink on the edges of the acrylic - it makes it pop!
So how about you? Any Scrappy New Years resolutions?

Car Acrylic Album

This is a cute little album that I've created using Clear Scraps acrylic car album. This is such a perfect album for boys or even girls. You can scrap about a car wash or about a road trip. Even about your kids while playing with their toy cars.

My album is filled with photographs taken while my kids are helping out during a car wash day. Below are some pages in this album.
