Halloween Layout

Hi you all!

I did want to add something Halloween to the blog. We do not really celebrate Halloween over here, but I had this photo of my daughter walking around on a graveyard. Well, if that's not a nice picture for a kind of Halloween layout..! ;-)

I added 2 decorative frames on the layout. I also decorated the frames with some twine and liquid pearls.

Grateful

This is still one of my favorite pictures, this is baby girl on her first birthday. She slept through most of her party; holding her is her foster papa. He and his wife nursed her back to health when she came into the system. They helped her until she was healthy enough to come home. We love this couple and you can tell by this picture he loves our baby girl.He was so happy just carrying her around even though she was sleeping!

Some of the embellishments were on top of the arylic page someunderneath adding lots of dimension. The flower overlapping the page was outlined with Stickles (simply tracing the flower underneath) then filled in with Shimmerz paints.

The page is a 6x12 acrylic from clearscraps.com  I have to say it was alot of fun using this size of a page - it's actually a part of a Mixables album from Clear Scraps. I have decided to make an album of my all time favorite pictures. The papers are from the Bloom and Grow collection at My Minds Eye

We will always be grateful.

Eek! They're black and perfect for Halloween!

You guessed it...BATS & SPIDERS! Not very fond of either one of them, however, aren't they the perfect addition to some Halloween fun?! Pair them up with some Clear Scraps and you have the perfect cards for Halloween.

Both of the following cards use the Clear Scraps Buckle Frame shape. The first card uses the main shape and the second card uses the middle oval shape.

For this first card I used Hambly bat rubons and applied them directly to the acrylic and then outlines the shape with a silver paint pen.

Cshallowcard2

For this second card I used a green alcohol ink on the back of the acrylic piece and then backed it with a sheet of almost solid orange patterned paper. I then stamped the spiders on top using StazOn ink. Lastly, I added some of Rangers Enamel accents on top of the spiders bodies.

Hope I've given you all some inspiration! Now go and make a little something for our Halloween contest!

Have a fabulous and freaky Halloween. We are heading out early in the morning to spend a spooky Halloween in Disneyland! Such fun.

Santa Card

I love using all the different clear shapes that Clear Scraps makes.  I enjoying using them on my layouts and altered projects but most of all I love using them as the focal point of my cards.  Today I am showcasing Clear Scraps "Small Stars" which are great for any project no matter what theme or event your working on.   I love to ink them up and emboss them to make them stand out more on projects.

Dimensional Acrylic Flower

She is A Lady(resize)

Hello! Hello! It's Irene here again! This time, I would like to share this little easy tip on how to add dimension to Clear Scraps acrylic flowers

DSC_0029

Simply just add some snips in between each petal and fold it up. In my sample above, I've also detailed it by punching some holes on the flower and colour it with Copic markers.

Isn't this easy? Try it!

My Garden

Hello again. Today I wanna share what I did with the Spring Mixables Album. I know we still are a long way to Spring but I'm always been inspired by Spring colors, anytime of the year.

My garden minibook

I painted the chipboard pieces of the album with pink and neon yellow. And then to emphasize the fun shapes of the acrylic pieces I added pearl pen to the edges.

I used the Garden Variety collection of Cosmo Cricket to complete this book. Here's what it looks inside...

Halloween Treat Bag

My kids don't trick-or-treat for a very long time Halloween evening...usually about half an hour just in our neighbourhood, but they love to have "nice" treat bags for the occasion and not just a grocery bag that will rip.  I made this one earlier this year with a Clear Scraps square coaster, Hambly Screenprints Halloween Rub-ons.   I stitched fibres and used brads to attach the coaster to the green burlap bag that my favourite-ist Fiskars scissors came in when I became a Fiskateer!

Don't forget that we're running a Halloween contest this month..show us your spooky creations using acrylic and we'll enter you in a draw for a prize package from Clear Scraps.  Winner will be chosen Halloween night and announced the next day!!

~Halloween Inspiration in Unusual Places~

Good morning, Pinky here with an unusual Halloween project.

You might not think of the Clear Scraps Acrylic Heart Shape for Halloween, but I am here to tell you that you can work it!  In my home we have fun with Halloween, it is a family event, we all dress up and make our costumes to match and we spend the evening together. You can imagine we love Halloween, so why not use a heart fro Halloween?!

For this project I took the Clear Scraps Acrylic Heart Shape I glued it down onto a 12X12 sheet of paper, I took small scalloped deco scissors and I hand cut around the edges.

Then I took netting (or tulle) from the fabric shop and gathered it up, adhering it over the acrylic.

Acrylichalloweensign1

After adhering the tulle, I then cut a strip of orange paper (3") and layered it onto another (3.5") trimming it out again with the small scalloped deco scissors.

I layered the pieces on using pop dots, then added pearl strands for some dimension.

Acrylichalloweensign2

Here I used my Imaginisce i-top to make the brads to hang the sign, then I punched holes in the top 1" down, using the brads to hold the pearls in place.

Acrylichalloweensign3
Here I used my i-rock to adhere black crystals for even more dimension.

This Halloween hanger was not only fun but easy too, if I can do it, you can do it!

Don't forget to enter the Clear Scraps Halloween Contest!

Have a great day~ Pinky~

She's all that!

Happy Thursday everyone. Today I would like to share with you a layout I made of my daughter featuring fun chipboard shapes from the Clear N Chip Little Miss Molly

She is all that

In this page, I used the negative parts of the flower chipboards. I painted them and then added flowers inside of the shapes.

She is all that (1)

I also created another flower with ribbon and then used a painted chipboard flower as the center.

She is all that (2)

Flowers are one of my favorite things to add on a girl page and the chipboard shapes just makes it extra special.

Mini album time!!

Hambly Screenprints was so kind to sponsor the Clear Scraps Design Team. I love their products and I'm always inspired when I have their gorgeous products in my hands.

So I selected this Clear Scraps mini album to create an album with some pictures I just cherish at this moment. Photos that mean lots to me. Amy ( my eldest ) exchanging teeth, Fenna and Amy having so much fun while baking cakes, Fenna with all of her babyteeth ( which won't last for a long time anymore I guess).....

Well you all have these photos. It's just great to put them in an album. You should try!

Well here is my album. I also used Chloe Vintage Frames to embellish. Enjoy!!!
