We're at CHA - booth 1707 if you happen to be around - come check it out!!

Here's a peek of the booth:

We have so much to show - our design team has amazing work in there and besides all the previous stock, we have NEW shapes in the Clear & Chip line (12x12 sheets of both acrylic and chipboard shapes for an album or cards or whatever your heart desires). Our new C&C lines are both holiday theme:  Believe and Holiday Treats.  Here's a peek of what Rita did with one of them:

Clear & chip RITA

Our Mixable albums that were so popular over the past few shows have some new additions as well, with a twist.  Our previous Mixable albums have been 12x6 and their new friend, Sassy and Lacey are 8x8!  We love them.  You can fit more pictures on them for one thing.  Here's what  Hilde did with one:

Our ever-popular XL shapes which are perfect for layouts, but also can be made into any number of altered art items (because they're easily cut, embossed, bound, scored, etc, etc) have a new shape addition too - the scalloped square and circle set.  Pinky did this scalloped square layout:

AND, we have banners! We have had the cutest banners for awhile now - and this year we've added a GREAT new banner for the holiday season called Gingerbread.  It's got a house in the middle, gingerbread men and snowflakes - perfect for decorating your house for Christmas, or holiday classes at your LSS....in fact one person at the show suggested that it would be a fun class to teach in 3 stages - first just the snowflakes, a week later the gingerbread men, and then a final class to teach the house and put it all together.  Wouldn't that be fun?

Here's what Cathy did with just the house section of the banner.

Keep your eyes open for more examples...and stay tuned here to get your hands on some of this stuff!!

New CHA release!!!

This is a darling little mini book I made with "clear and chip" (board) pieces from Clear Scraps called "Holiday Treats"! Tomorrow it will be available in the store so you will have to go check it out!
You can use whatever products you like to decorate yours, here is how I decorated mine...

12
(All of the pages with snow are acyclic with the photos underneath.)
Just think you could get these now and get started on some of your Christmas projects!

Supplies: all the papers, alphas and glitter buttons are from Momenta, Snow Tex, Ranger Stickles, Viva Decor Paint pens, Kaiser Craft bling, Zip Dry glue, Staz On ink.

Acrylic mini frames...

Don't you just love color!  I love color and I love changing the color of something to make it work for me! ;)
 I
I had and idea for a layout, these great papers (GCD Studios Artsy Urban- love, love , love the glitter!)) and these very cool looking frames (Clear Scraps).(And some cute pics of my oldest daughter!) I wanted it to pop so I needed to add a little color! I laid it out how I thought it would go then wnet to work!
First I had to give the acrylic frames a little color, I did this with alcohol inks. What nice is if it doesn't come out quite how you thought you can add more color to make it darker or different colors to change it. If you still dont like it you can use alchol blending solution, wipe it off and start over! LOL! I used red's and yellows. Here is a close up...
Of course I needed my flowers to match so I brought out my mists (Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and Shimmerz) and sprayed until I got the match to my frames!
And the result...

So go! Color your world! Be creative and use orange! LOL! I love orange it makes me happy!

a birthday layout

Welcome back. Ok so let's get this "party" going shall we...

Today's share is a layout I made about my birthday last year.

pulled out for publication

I did some recycling in this project by using the negative space of the Ms. Molly Clear n Chip album. I painted it then used it to divide my pattern papers on the left side of the layout.

I also used the chipboard shapes in the same Clear N Chip pack. I decided to keep them in the raw shape but thought they needed a little shine so I grabbed the Viva Decor's Pearl pen's and used it as a paint, smearing it on top of the chipboard shape. I let it dried then added some more on the edges for added texture and design. I finished it off with some Cosmo Cricket buttons.

I did the same technique on this scallop frame. I love how the pearl pen gave the chipboard shape enough shimmer without changing the brown color of it.

Did you enjoy this two day party celebration? If so I have one more project to share but it'll be found in my blog. Visit today to see what other "birthday" project I made using Clear Scraps products.

Thanks for letting me share my birthday month in a special way with all of you.

Signing off,

Grace

Party banner

Hi all. Happy Monday. July is one of my favorite months. Not only because it's summer time or that July means half the year is over but most importantly it's because it's my birthday month. So to celebrate, I'm showing projects with a "birthday" theme.

Let's start with a party banner. What would a birthday celebration be without a festive banner right?

PULLED OUT FOR PUBLICATION

Sorry for the weird photo. I don't know how else to better photograph my long banner.

Anyways, I started my project with the Clear Scraps large banner.

PULLED OUT FOR PUBLICATION

I used some Hambly transparencies to go over the banners to add texture and design to the acrylic without totally hiding their beauty.

I then added some handmade paper flowers from Cosmo Cricket and finished it off with words to spell out party, flowers from Accent Creative Designs and ribbons plus pearls from my stash.

I also gave emphasis to the scallop on top of each banner piece with pearl pen from Viva Decor.

So how's that to start off our celebration. Come back tomorrow to see another "birthday" project.

Signing off,

Grace

A little more Sassy?

2010 CHA Mini Album(resize)

Are you all in "love" with Clear Scraps NEW 8x8 Mixable Sassy? Not Yet? Hope you all would consider it again after this blog post.

I really love how the pages in it had been designed. It has such a good width which enable you to include so much in one page. Check out some of the details I have on my pages in this album.

It's also a mixable which means, it's in a mixture of acrylic and chipboard!! So for those of you who are still hesitate to try a full acrylic album, this is a great option for you.

To see more pages in this mini album, you all can refer to my blog. Happy scrapping!
