I created this scrapbook layout to commemorate our family's mother's day brunch from a few years ago. I used a bold pink, black and cream color scheme, combined with Clear Scraps XL shapes, to create this look.
My title says "We love grandma," but you could change that to "Mom" or "Dad" or a family member's name, if you prefer. With a subtle change like that, you could use this idea for creating birthday pages too.

One photo measuring four inches by six inches.
Layout Instructions:
Glue the die-cut paper to the Clear Scraps circle shape using Zip Dry.
Cut a 2.5 inch band of the La Salle Road patterned paper using
Fiskars scissors in the "Clouds" design. This paper is double-sided; if you cut from the multicolored / pink side rather than the black and cream side, there are some straight lines you can use as guidelines for cutting. When you adhere the paper, make sure that the black and cream side is facing up.
Before attaching the border, cut the edges of the LaSalle paper to match the curves on the XL dot. Then glue the paper to the base of the layout.
Glue the ribbon onto the layout on top of the paper border.
Adhere your photo on top of the ribbon and paper border.
Cut a heart-shaped piece out of the ribbon.
Attach the chipboard letters and your heart-shaped ribbon cutout for your title.
Stamp the flower stamp onto a scrap of light-colored patterned paper. Cut around the edges of it with Fiskars Mini-Scallop Paper Edgers. Please visit my
article about how to make paper flowers for more information that will help you create similar flowers for using in your own scrapbook pages.
Attach an Amy Butler brad in the center of the hand-stamped flower.
Glue the flower to the layout.
Apply the Hambly rub-on, and add your journaling inside it.
Attach the mini-brads to the centers of the flowers, and adhere them to the layout.
Add the layout to your scrapbook album, and enjoy!
