A Little Vintage
Create your own acrylic embellishments

Spring has sprung

In my part of the country spring has hit full force and everything is starting to bloom. Bulbs are in full force. Which also means lots of rain for those of us here in the Pacific Northwest. I made this little gift for a dear friend of mine who just had foot surgery and came home in a cast and crutches, not what she anticipated. The good thing is these flowers won't wilt and fade away like so many of the other flowers she has received.

I used the Mini Flower Album for this. I took the flowers off of the ring and ran them through an embossing folder on my Cuddlebug to get the raised circle shapes. Then I coated the flowers with a thin layer of Modge Podge and and covered the shape with tissue paper. Once the Modge Podge dried I sanded the tissue paper off around the edges and slightly on top to give a distressed look. Top it all of with another layer of Modge Podge and there you go. I love the way they turned out.

I'm sure you will be seeing much more tissue paper use in my future!

Enjoy spring!
