Embossing on Clear-n-Chip Album
April 13, 2009
Happy Monday Morning!
This new Clear-n-Chip album was so much FUN to play with and even as a Design Team member, I didn't realize you could do soooo much with this product line! I was playing with the Brand New "Abbie's Love" Clear-n-Chip Album at this last CHA and ran the acrylic AND chipboard pages through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder. This was very easy to do and the effects on both the acrylic AND chipboard were beautiful! Here's the finished album...
Just the 5 of us:
After I ran the chipboard and acrylic through the Cuttlebug, I enhanced the embossed pages by adding some paint and ink. For the chipboard pieces I used the Ranger Paint Dauber in Pearl and for the acrylic pieces, I used Stayz On ink in Fushia.
All the papers, rub-ons and ribbon were supplied by Scrap Within Reach , who were so generous to provide me with some of their Brand New "Afternoon Tea" line to use on this album!
Here you can see one of the accent pieces from the Abbie's Love Clear-n-Chip ablum that I also ran through the Cuttlebug and then used some of the Stayz On ink on. You simply take the ink pad and lightly run over the top of the embossed pieces to give it a light layer of ink. Set aside for about 5-10 minutes to let dry.
Here you can see a closer look at one of the chipboard pages that was embossed. I've taken the Ranger Paint Dauber and lightly rubbed it on the surfase of the embossed chipboard to give it a beautiful pearl sheen.
Here's a look at the entire finished album. I do want to mention that these new Clear-n-Chip albums come with sooo many pages and accent pieces that I had enough left over to make an another entire album or use the pieces on other projects!
After looking into the Cuttlebug and all the FUN things you can do with it on Clear Scraps acrylic AND chipboard, I found a new Challenge blog you might want to check out. It's Cuttlebug Challenge Blog and it has some GREAT ideas and fun tips! Make sure you also check out all 5 styles of Clear-n-Chip albums! My Kit Club, A Kiss on the Chic featured the Caroline's Cafe Album in the March kit and it was a SELL-OUT!!
Have a GREAT day,
