Acrylic Paint on Acrylics
November 10, 2008
This is a card that I’ve used Clear Scraps Acrylic sheets to create with. I love the versatility of these acrylic sheets. You can customize them into any shape and size.
To create this card, I’ve used masking: using an acrylic paint technique to mask a few layers of borders on the left of the card. This technique involves experimenting with the consistencies of the acrylic paint used and the technique of masking using a foam brush.
The white strip is masked using a thicker consistency of acrylic paint and the dabbing technique of a foam brush.
The pink strip is masked using a more watery consistency of acrylic paint and the dabbing technique of a foam brush.
The stamped flower strip is created using a normal consistency of acrylic paint and stamping it with a flower stamp while the mask is in place.
Lastly, just use some Ranger liquid pearls and EK Success Zig Painty to add the details in.
I’ve also cut out a shaped piece from the same acrylic sheet for the middle of the card. I’ve used a Teresa Collins journaling tag to trace the shape onto the acrylic sheet and cut it out.
Then, I used some EKSuccess Zig Painty Pens to highlight the edges of this acrylic piece.
There are so many ways you can use these acrylic sheets. You can even create a mini album using it. This is definitely a must have for all acrylic lovers!
