Create Sign by Steph

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here to share some of the fun products that are found in the Clear Scraps July kit. This kit includes a Wood album, Create word, 2 XL acrylic shapes along with Bo Bunny Mood collection, Echo Park Good Day Collection, Me & My Big Idea Summer planner and Eyelet Outlet embellishments.

I've used the  XL  acrylic panel to create a creative wall hanging.

I began by removing the film from one side of the acrylic panel and painting that side.  Once dry I removed the acrylic film from the other side.  I die cut the red and white Echo Park paper into a large circle to fit the acrylic panel.

 

Next, I painted the Create word with blue paint.

For additional dimension I used randomly added molding paste through a stencil.  Once dry, I repainted the word.

I thought this sign would make a great decoration in my studio, so I started collecting an assortment of items to add to the sign.

I was going to throw away this old dried out paint brush, but I thought it would give a fun effect to my sign.

Then I added some extra clay elements I previously created.

 

Finally I punched a hole in the top and threaded some jute through.

Journal Pages by Steph

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here to share some of the fun products that are found in the Clear Scraps July kit. This kit includes a Wood album, Create word, 2 XL acrylic shapes along with Bo Bunny Mood collection, Echo Park Good Day Collection, Me & My Big Idea Summer Planner and Eyelet Outlet embellishments.

Today, I'm using the  Me & My Big Idea Summer Planner to create a summer journal spread.

The Summer Planner comes with enough pages so you can document your entire summer day by day.  I began by using a Clear Scraps stencil (not included) in the corners.  While it is a Pumpkin stencil, I just inked the swirled sections.  I think it gives a great effect to each page.

 

Next, I worked on each page side by side.  I wanted each page to be different, yet carry the summer theme throughout for each day's activities.  

Stickers from the Echo Park collection as well as the Summer Planner collection were added to each page.  There are so many to chose from and they help document that day's activities.

I added scraps of left over papers from the Echo Park collection.  While I wanted to document the fun times of summer, I also wanted to make this journal useful by noting any meetings and appointments I had each day.  Don't forget to use your handwriting to add notes and special memories each day.

I love Summer layout

Happy July Creating Made Easy friends.

Today I'm sharing an acrylic circle layout from the July 2018 Kit.

I traced the acrylic circle on the Echo Park pattern paper included in the kit, cut the circle out, then distressed the edges. Once that was done I cut a small triangle out of one side of the paper and created two paper cones to create some funky interest. :) I used my tiny attacher from my stash to keep the cones in place Then remove the protective film from both sides of your acrylic.

Adhere the cone paper to the front of the layout.  I then traced a half circle on another piece of the Echo Park paper and adhered it to the backside of the acrylic.

I then added the sticker title and the super cute mini tassels to the banner.

Everything is from this amazing July kit except for the glue, staples, and cute granddaughter photos. ;)

Summer Layout by Steph

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here to share some of the fun products that are found in the Clear Scraps July kit. This kit includes a Wood album, Create word, 2 XL acrylic shapes along with Bo Bunny Mood collection, Echo Park Good Day Collection, Me & My Big Idea Summer planner and Eyelet Outlet embellishments.

I've used the  XL scalloped acrylic panel to create a summer layout.

Remove the film from one side and paint that side. Leaving the film in place on the other side ensures you don't get paint on that side.

Once dry, remove the film from the other side. Cut Echo Park paper 10" x 10" and adhere to the unpainted side. Mat 2 sheets from the Bo Bunny pad with navy cardstock and adhere them on slight angle.

Select one photo and mat with cardstock. Select 3 stickers from the Echo Park collection and arrange on die cuts and place around the photo. 

I placed mesh in the corner and arranged some Makin's Clay seashells on top. Then I spritzed them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist so they shine.

Finally I added some additional mesh to the opposite corner just under the stickers.

 

These acrylic panels are perfect to slip into a scrapbook album or even hang on the wall.

Journey Wood Album by Steph

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here to share some of the fun products that are found in the Clear Scraps July kit.  This kit includes a Wood album, Create word, 2 XL acrylic shapes along with Bo Bunny Mood collection, Echo Park Good Day Collection, Me & My Big Idea Summer planner and Eyelet Outlet embellishments.

Today I'm creating with the new wood album.  These albums are awesome and there are lots to choose from.  The July kit includes the Journey album which has so many possibilities.  Think about documentation a vacation, a day trip, a journey you've taken to get to where you are now, etc.

 

I painted the wood panels with Plaid paint.  Then I used molding paste through a stencil randomly about the front cover for some dimension.  I added a strip of Echo Park paper and cardstock across the top of the cover then wrapped it with twine.

Journey is cut right through the wood so it allows you to see the colors and photos on the next page.   But I decided to go with a fun effect by gluing mesh behind the word.

Inside, I cut cardstock pages to fit.  Selecting pattern papers from the Bo Bunny Mood collection, I cut them on the diagonal to create pockets on each page.  

I cut tags to fit each pocket.

The tags allow me to add additional photos or even some journaling.

The Bo Bunny papers give the album a true summer feel. And there's plenty of room to add photos and journaling.  I added rings to the album, then tied scraps of ribbon to each.

Finally, I added some self adhesive gems around the front cover.

What a perfect album to document a fun journey.

Big Girl Bike Layout

Hello! Jennifer here to share another layout I  created using the April Creating Made Easy Kit!  The new Ten Speed Bike Chipboard Embellishment Shape inspired me to scrap some photos of my daughter with her first real bike! It makes for a great accent to a sweet memory! 

I painted my chipboard first with white acrylic paint. Once dry, I  applied both a glitter blue and pink embossing powder!  

I  used some Thickers from my stash for my title and then stitched through with my sewing machine. 

The kit has lots of wonderful stickers to accent your photos as well as some fun decorative tape!

You Rock Mini Album

Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm back to share another project using the April Creating Made Easy Kit!  One of the products included in the kit are the new wood cards!  There are so many great possibilities for projects with these cards!  I  painted the both of the cards using Distress Paint in Fossilized Amber and then adhered patterned paper from Paprika collection.I    also used the second guitar from the Guitars Chipboard Embellishments that I colored with Inka Gold in Copper.    

 

I  love the bright colors of this collection! The 12x12 Sticker Sheet has many fun sticker shapes to accent  your pages! 

On the inside cover, I  created a flap to add hidden journaling that I  typed on my electric typewriter. 

I  cut one of the 12x12 Acrylic Sheets in the kit down to create pages for my mini album!  

If you are low on space, adding a flap or pocket is a great way to add additional photos or journaling!

ta DAH ~ wish I was riding, a scrapbook page

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page showcasing the bike chipboard embellishment that is in the Creating Made Easy April Kit by Clear Scraps.  The scrapbook page is created using all the goodies that come in the April Creating Made Easy Kit.  I added a few stickers (not in the kit) to complete my title but that is all.  Let me show you~

Three of my grands were doing the ranch walk with me and I don't get their company very often, so I wanted to create a page on this special time together.  A border punch was used to add a decorative border, to the strips of pattern paper, that go above the middle section that hold the photos. 

The little flower stickers and the ta DAH sticker are in the kit with many more to choose from.  The text stickers are not included in the kit but from my stash.

The bike chipboard embellishment was inked using Distress Oxide ink/ Black Soot and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I love the texture it added to the bike chipboard.  A little flower was added to the bike's handle bar.  

On the back of the scrapbook page a pocket and journal card was added so the story could be told of how much I enjoyed their company on my ranch walk.

Inspirational Panels by Steph

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here to share some of the fun products that are found in the Clear Scraps April kit. This kit includes 2 birch wood panels and papers and stickers from Simple Stories.

These birch wood panels are 4" x 6" and I chose to create inspiration panels for my desk.

The papers from Photo Play were perfect for these panels as I wanted something bright and happy to display on my desk.  I created layers from the papers to create a fun panel.  The sentiment was die cut from the pattern paper and matted with cardstock.  Flower stickers were added to the panel.

Follow Your Dreams is a more simple panel as it fit the wood panel.  I inked the panel and matted it with cardstock.  Then I added it to striped paper which was then added to the birch wood panel.

Shine Acrylic Layout

Hello! Jennifer back again to share a layout I  created using the April Creating Made Easy Kit! This kit is so much fun to work with; I  am loving the bright colors!  

 

Taking one of the 12x12 Acrylic Sheets included in the kit, I  used a fun floral stamp and Staz On ink in teal create a background pattern on the bottom half of my page. Using a solvent based ink is the best when working with Clear Scraps acrylic because it dries fairly quickly as well as will not run. 

I  wanted to incorporate the Guitar Chipboard Embellishments into my layout but wasn't sure if both would fit. But I decided to color them both together! I  applied Inka Gold in Copper to the front of each guitar.  Inka Gold is similar to a paste/mousse and works wonderfully with chipboard!  Plus, the more you rub in the product, the more shine! 

For my title, I  used coordinating stickers from the Paprika 12x12 Sticker Sheet as well as patterned paper. I    also inserted some of the small florals and dot stickers to accent. 

Here is a close up of my guitar (I  ended up only using one!  The color of the Inka Gold goes perfect with the bright colors of the collection! 

I  then utilized the many stickers off the 12x12 Sheet to accent my photo including this fun banner!
