Happy December, friends! The kit this month is pretty amazing. I had so much fun creating with it, as I normally do, and it is just chock full of stuff to create with. I couldn't wait to make this home decor item using the Clear Scraps Tri-Fold frame.

The frames are made from a clear cast acrylic, which is thicker and so sturdy. It comes with a protective brown paper covering, which you will need to pull off before you begin creating with them.
I ran a line of Beacons Zip Dry around the edge of the acrylic to adhere it to the pattern paper.
Using a craft knife cut away the excess paper.
Once that was complete, I realized I adhered the middle frame to the wrong paper, it was bugging me so badly, so I went ahead and adhered the back panel to a different paper, so it would break it up pattern wise.
On the new paper, to add some interest, I stamped onto the paper with this Christmas stamp from my stash.
As I decorate the frames, I keep them aligned horizontally so I could visualize what everything would like together.
I cut the nativity scene from both pieces of paper and lined them up. I glued the strips down and then carefully used my craft knife to cut on the edge of the frames to separate the strips.
Now the fun part, adding embellishments. I used this cute sticker banner on the first and third frame.
I also added a sticker in the center to help pull it together. (Sorry about the bright light in my photos.)
I used lots of foam tape to raise up the journaling cards and stickers to create depth.
I put my frames together using book rings, but you can easily use ribbon too, which I normally do, but wanted to do something a little different. Make sure the closure is in the front, which is easier to hide using ribbon.
Here are the final images completely decorated.
Check back with us to see more projects using the gorgeous December 2017 kit!
