Good morning friends, Steph here today with another post for Clear Scraps and I'd love to show you what I've created with products from the June kit. This kit included a 6" x 6" chipboard album and chip word which I knew would perfectly showcase the PhotoPlay papers and stickers.
I began by painting the edges of each page with blue paint. As all the pages were going to be covered, I didn't bother completely painting each page.
The front cover of a mini album really sets the tone of the album, so I began by deciding what elements I wanted on the front cover. I cut the dotted paper, inked it with gray ink and matted it with cardstock. I cut apart the tag paper, selected the Happy 4th sign, inked it and also matted it. I wanted the fireworks sticker to stand out so I matted it with red cardstock and then fussy cut it. Finally, I painted the 2017 chip word to coordinate with the papers.
After covering the front cover with pattern paper, all these fun elements were now placed on the front cover. For a little more interest, a large sparkly brad finished off the center of the fireworks sticker.
For the interior pages, I adhered various pattern papers. Since this collection really worked well together, it was easy to mix and match the papers. For interest, I cut a triangular panel for the first page and added a circular tag from the tag paper which I cut in half. Photo mats were added that can also double as journaling blocks.
Next, I created a pocket page on the left page, adding several stickers on top. Tags were created from the left over papers. A large photo mat was added to the right page.
Again, I mixed and matched papers on the next two pages, adding 2 small photo mats on the left side. I created a triangular shaped pocket page on the right side which holds 2 tags. I decorated the pocket with stickers from the sticker sheet.
The final pages included a large mat for a focal photo as well as die cut ovals on which I placed a sticker as a focal element.
I love how sturdy this album is. And it's use is endless. Use it to celebrate your activities on July 4th or perhaps use it as a journal.
