Hello crafty friends!! Ruthie here with another Layout, this time I made it using pictures from Frida Kahlo Museum. Long time ago, I attended a conference about Fibromyalgia and I discover that I could be suffering it, I also learned that she may have suffered as well, and actually in one of her painting she describes the main painful areas of Fibromyalgia. Since then, I become interested in her life and paints, now that I was in Mexico I decided to go and know her place and her paintings. I totally recommend it!! The museum is the actual house where she lived, it is small but full of her.
When I saw the Banners 12x12 Acrylic Layout that comes with the kit, I thought immediately in this!! First removed the film from the acrylic and then painted with blue paint from Ranger, let it dry for a day.
The banners are the perfect!! you won't need any decoration!!!! The Picture from the left is Frida Kahlo (taken from internet as I didn't take any at the museum. The picture of the right is a frame that you can see at the entrance of the museum and it translates to: Frida and Diego lived here 1929-1954.
The left side of the picture shows her actual bed, she had 2 one for the day where she had a mirror on the top to paint her portraits, and other bed for sleeping, instead of the mirror it has butterflies. I used as journaling one of her quotes: “Pain is not a part of life. It can become life itself.”
On the right side, I took picture of one of her shoes and some jewelry.
I really enjoyed making this Layout!!! Hope you like it!!!
