Hi Clear Scrap fans, Steph here today and I would love to share one of the projects I created using the Clear Scraps April kit.
Included in the April kit is a 12x12 Circle Printer Tray. I've never created with a Printer Tray and was excited to give it a try. The Printer Tray comes with 1 chipboard backing, 3 chipboard cut outs and 1 acrylic sheet.
I began by painting the chipboard cut outs with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze.
While waiting for them to dry, I cut pattern paper to fit the chipboard backing, using the chipboard backing as a template. As I was going with a cruise theme, I chose some beachy paper from my stash.
Using the cut outs as a guide, I arranged my photos within the cut outs, then trimmed them to fit. Once I was happy with their placement, I adhered the photos in place then added die cut letters and numbers which I adhered in the blank spaces. As I had a little spot in the left corner that needed "something", I placed some ticket stubs which I allowed to stick out between the layers.
Now that everything was adhered, I used Beacon's 3-in-1 Adhesive to adhere 2 chipboard cut outs over the photos.
Next, I pulled the film off both sides of the the acrylic sheet and placed it on top of the cut outs. The final chipboard cut out was placed on top, sealing the acrylic sheet in place. I love the depth this gives my project.
As a final embellishment, I created some sea shells using Makin's Clay and with a sea shell mold. The clay shells add no weight to the layout.
This is a wonderful way to showcase photos from a trip.
