Happy Wednesday!
Have you seen this months kit?! It is so gorgeous! One of the items is the acrylic large shaped heart and folk hearts border stencil! I decided to make a wall hanging with using the heart and the stencil/mascil that comes with the kit! I have a tutorial I'm sharing below, how I created the wall hanging!
Here's a close up of the flowers I stamp that come in the kit! I used a script stamp from my stash added the same gelato color I used on the heart on the edges of the flower. I painted the buttons from my stash in gold. The butterfly I punched from scrap paper from the CME Aprils kit.
To get started grab the stencil/mascil, modeling paste, gel, ink or gesso, and a tool to add the medium if you need one.
I used modeling paste and added 5 rows across the heart.
Here is the finished results of the modeling paste on the heart.
I use some scrap paper from the kit to trace the top and bottom part of the heart. I used a glue gun to adhere the paper to the acrylic.
You can see the paper where I added it to the heart and I started using a green gelato on the leaves.
Now I'm using a pink gelato on the heart and gold on the edges of the heart. I also used the gold paint to help cover the tape areas.
Now you are ready to add your embellishments! I added the ribbon to hang the heart just by adding 2 large sticky dots on the back side of the heart and pressing the ribbon on the glue dots. This is a fun project to create to add some more color to a room or make as a gift for someone! If you don't want a sentiment you could always add a picture!
Thank you for visitng the CME blog today!
Have a blessed day!
