Hello again! As promised, here is the second of the two heart wallhanging photo frames I made using the Clear Scraps XL Hearts in the April Creating Made Easy Kit from Clear Scraps! This one also features the Heart border stencil included in the kit.
I started out by stenciling the clear acrylic heart with white ink using the Folk Heart border stencil. Then I went back and added colors with alcohol markers. I changed up the colors from what is in the kit papers theme a bit to match the photo, so I added green for pop and to pull in chipboard adhesive banner I added later from the My Mind's Eye Jubilee in the kit. I covered the back of the heart, using clear liquid Beacon Glue, with the My Mind's Eye gold polka dot paper to match the other heart.I cut it slightly larger than the shape, adhered it, then trimmed with a craft knife. I used a Crop-A-Dile to make holes for a hanging ribbon.
I used the alcohol markers to color the paper flowers in the kit to match the stencil.I layered them in twos and threes and glued them together. I added two blue rhinestones hearts, included in the kit, to the centers for a little bling. This is, after all, a Princess frame! I scattered the flowers along the two edges of the heart.
I framed a favorite photo of my niece, Becca, with just a few of her vintage Cabbage Patch collection in a gold chipboard frame from the adhesive sheet included. Then I crowned the frame with another shape and added the banner. I ran a satin ribbon through the holes to hang. And all done! A quick, simple and fun way to display a favorite photo! Please check out my earlier post featuring the other Clear Scraps XL heart shape in the kit to see how I changed up the colors and style but used the same photo frame theme. Please let me know what you think in the comments!
Stay crafty, my friend,
Liza
