Liza here, back with another project from the October Creating Made Easy Kit!
This is part one of a tablescape I made from the kit, a "Potions Shopping" bag. The way I see it, even witches and wizards need retail therapy! So this little bag is full of fun and spooky things!
Everything in this project is included in the kit except ribbons, adhesive and some packing material from my personal supplies. Below are some images of how I put this together.
I recylced some packing material and stuffed the burlap bag from the kit so it would stand up.
I then added double stick foam tape inside the bag to build up the Jillibean Pea Pod Parts cardstock embelishments on. I started, of course, with a little black kitten. :)
Then I added the momma cat and built up a collage of labels and shapes on the front with doublestick tape and a glue gun. I added Clear Scraps clear acrylic mini tag album pages that I decorated with Jillybean Owloween 6x6 paper pad patterns, all from the kit. They look like large price tags.
Here is a detail of the front of the bag, with the Clear Scraps tag and embellishment collage. The acrylic tags are backed with paper and also help the bag stand upright.
The bag has another acrylic tag and more cardstock embellishments on the back. After all, this was a shopping spree! I added orange sparkle ribbon wrapped loosely to the bag to cover the packing material.
At the top of the bag I included a new pointed hat, made from two circles of the 6x6 stack and a few little cardstock stars. And only a $1.00, what a bargain! :) (I hand wrote the price tags with a thin marker.)
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and watch for my next one from the October kit, a cake stand display that coordinates with the Potion Shopping bag!
