Good morning everyone! Leah here with you today to share a project I created from the fabulous March CME kit.
I wanted to create a home decor item and a gift all in one.
Here's a view looking inside the box. I added Kuerig brew over ice kcups and a few artificial flowers for decoration, once the tea is all gone wouldn't this look lovely filled with a large bouquet of flowers?
To start you will need two teapots from the chipboard album. Adhere them to pattern paper of your choice and use your craft knife to cut them out.
Do the same for the other side of the teapots. Do not punch out the pre-drilled holes from the album.
Using a piece of pattern paper from the kit or a piece of cardstock from your stash, create a box around 3.5" x 5.5". I used my die cut machine to make this super easy, but I'm sure you could google for a free box template as well.
I put a few stickers around my box from the gorgeous Carta Bella paper to dress it up a bit, then adhered one side of the box to the inside of one teapot. I lined the bottom of the box up with the bottom of the teapot in the center.
Once you are lined up, apply pressure and burnish the inside of the box to make sure it is adhered well to the teapot.
Add your liquid adhesive to the top of the box, and carefully line up your other teapot. At this point, you are eyeballing the position so everything lines up nicely. Flip the teapot, and burnish again on the inside.
It should look similar to this.
Using a piece of ribbon from your stash, hot glue the ribbon around the bottom edge of the teapot.
Time to figure out which way you want your teapot to face, because that will be the front. I used a scrap piece of paper from the kit and die cut a doily out. Then, I found this applique butterfly hiding in my ribbon and thought it would look great on here as well.
I applied baby powder to the back of this let's create sticker to remove the stickyness.
I then applied a pop dot to the back of the sticker and adhered it to the center of the doily on my Teapot.
I then created a sticker using my Cameo Silhouette that say's You're Tea-rrific! and applied that to the center of the sticker on the front. You could easily punch a 1" cardstock and use sticker letters to create your own personal greeting.
If you would like a copy of the print n cut Cameo file, I will have it available on my blog to download.
Thanks for stopping in with us today!!
