Today I have my Tri-fold Acrylic frame to share with you, as well as a few instructions on how to assemble it.
Start by cutting 3 pieces of paper to 5.5" x 5.5".
Cut another 3 pieces of paper to 4 7/16" x 5.5".
Adhere the 4 7/16" paper to the 5.5" x 5.5" paper.
Remove brown protective film from frontside of acrylic frames and adhere papers as shown below.
The brown paper you see is actually the protective film on the backside of the trifold frames - I always leave mine on to protect the acrylic while I am decorating it.
Cut two pieces of twine 18" and wrap around two pockets from the kit. Make sure twine stays in place by placing a piece of tape on the backside.
Create two pocket inserts cut to 2 1/2" x 4". Round edges and distress edges if you'd like. Punch a small hole in the center top of tag and add twine to tag.
Select 1 ornament from the kit ornament package. Run it through your embossing machine. Remove protective film from both sides. Using green and red alcohol ink, color one side in green, then turn and add some red color to the other side.
Punch a hole in middle of ornament and center frame panel. Then tie on ornament to center frame panel so it hangs down as far as you like.
Adhere flowers from kit to your front panels to add some decoration. If you would like, you can color them with pretty color mists from your stash, and you can speed up drying time by using your heat tool.
Remove protective brown film from backside of frames and turn back to the front. Cut six pieces of ribbon to 6". Thread all 6 pieces of ribbon through the center panel.
Start in center panel, center hole, and thread ribbon through all holes on the right panel, once that is complete start in center hole and tie a knot. Finish tying up the holes on the right side before moving on to the left.
Do the same to attach the left panel to the center panel. Remove any excess ribbon by trimming with your scissors.
Finish up by using a Viva Decor paint pen and creating some decorative lines directly on the acrylic. I used a silver viva decor pen for this. If you have to, tape up some of your ribbon so it stays out of the way while you decorate.
This would make a great gift and it displays so well on a mantel or side table. The tags can be used to adhere small photos.
I hope you try this out, it's really so much fun to create!
Cheer and Happy holidays,
Leah Crowe
