Summer Banner and Card - Clear Scraps May Kit Club
Have you gotten your May kit from Clear Scraps Creating Made Easy? I have enjoyed all of the kits and it seems like they just keep getting better and better! The papers in this kit are sunny and bright and perfect for summer! Today I'd like to share two projects that I made with the kit.
The first project is a simple card that went "together" so quickly and easily! The acrylic "together" from Clear Scraps Expressions Clear Word Titles was colored on the back with Viva Decor 3D Stamp Paint. (not included in the kit) The papers and "so" "happy" stickers are all included in the kit. The dimensional dots were created with Viva Decor Pearl Pen - bronze. This is not included in the kit, but is available in the clear scraps store!
The second project is a summery dragon fly banner using some of the Clear Scraps Chipboard Shapes from the Butterfly Banner.
The dragon flies were done by painting them with white pearl acrylic paint. When you paint chipboard, be sure to paint front and back to keep it from curling when the paint dries. I used a sponge brush and kept the paint very light.
Then I used Stazon Ink in Midnight Blue and Teal Blue to distress the edges and add some random splotches of color. The pearl paint shimmers through the ink to give it a shimmery iridescent look. The bodies of the dragon flies were covered with paper from the kit, as were the flowers. Glittery accents were added using Viva Decor Glitter Pens. (Note that Stazon ink and Glitter Pens are not included in the kit)
Enjoy the May kit!!
I can't wait to see what the June kit has in store for us!!
