Hi! It's KC, with my 4th Feb project for the Clear Scraps Creating Made Easy Kit Club. I can't say enough about how fun and easy this kit has been to create with. Everything is so perfectly coordinated - the Clear Scraps acrylic, the Basic Grey paper, and the embellishments!!
For this project I used: From the kit: Clear Scraps 6x6 Acrylic Album, Paper from Basic Grey's True Love Collection, Buttons, Misc Ribbon,
Not included in the kit: Beacon Zip-Dry adhesive, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die, Sizzix Die Cut/Embossing machine, Sharpie fine point marker - black, alcohol inks - silver metallic & brown, Glue
Since this was my 4th project, I had some smaller pieces of paper left from the other projects - I used these in the die cutter to create the flower layers. To give your flowers more dimension, spritz the paper with a little water and then use a wooden skewer of thin paint brush handle and roll the petals of the flowers. Set them aside to dry and the glue the flower layers together, finishing with a button center.
I used 4 pages of the album to create this quad-fold Valentine decoration. From the 5th page, I cut rectangles to make the "L O V E" letters. I printed some ornate letters from a graphics program and simply traced the letters onto the acrylic with a fine-point sharpie. Then a colored the back of these pieces with a light layer of alcohol inks - metallic silver and brown. Don't have a graphics program? No worries - just grab the jpeg and print! I printed multiple sizes, but ended up using the largest ones.
Enjoy playing with the Feb Kit!! I can't wait to see what next month has in store for the Kit Club!
Thanks for visiting!
KC
