Send it Clear Heart Card - embossed with glitter

I am really excited to be working with the Clear Scraps New Kit Club!  This first kit has been so much fun to work with!  The first project I'd like to share is this Send-it-clear card.

For this card I used:
From the Kit:  Clear Scraps Send-it-Clear Heart Card, Paper from Basic Grey's True Love Collection - "Smitten".  Stickers from the Basic Grey True Love Collection.

Supplies not included in the kit:  Art Glitter Ultra-fine Glitter - Angel Dust, Art Glitter Designer Dries Clear Adhesive (DDCA), Metal fine tip for DDCA, Sizzix embossing folder, Sizzix Embossing machine, Red Alcohol Ink, Alcohol ink applicator (stamp w/ disposable felt pads), Viva Decor Pearl Pen, Beacon Zip-dry Glue

Begin by embossing just the heart sections of the front of the card.  Line the edge of the embossing folder up with the edge of the heart where the two parts with intersect.  Run through your embossing machine.

Remove the protective plastic from the back side of the pieces.  The back should be the side where the design is recessed (debossed).  Using the fine tip on the DDCA, carefully fill the recessed areas.

Cover the glue with glitter.

Shake the excess glitter off onto a clean piece of paper or card stock and return it to your glitter jar.  Some of the glitter will cling to the acrylic due to static.  It will brush off easily after the glue is dry.  While the glue is drying, cut a piece of "Smitten" paper the size of the back panel of the card.  

After the glue has dried and you have brushed off the excess.  Use painter's tape to mask off the heart sections.  You will still be working on the back of the pieces.

Add a few drops of red alcohol ink to the applicator and daub onto both sections of the heart.  Repeat until you have the sections completely covered with a nice deep red.

Remove the protective plastic from the front of the front sections of the card and the front and back of the center section of the card.  Line the sections up on your work surface.  This is the inside of the card, so you will want the front sections face down.  Carefully attach the sections with the clear stickers that come with the card.  Try very hard not to touch the sticky surface of the stickers so you don't end up with finger prints. 

Using Zip-Dry glue, glue the paper to the front of the main (back) section.  Center the "Love Story" sticker on the paper.

Finish the front of the card with the "You & Me" sticker and embellish with the pearl writer.
