Hi!
It's Hilde again with a fun photo tutorial to show you.
I thought of this tutorial when I was lying in bed and I knew this would work!! You will have so much fun creating these selfmade butterflies!
You need to have a 12 x 12 inch acrylic sheet to create lots of butterflies.
You also need some stazon ink and a butterfly stamp.
Stamp the image onto the acrylic sheet:
Cut out the image:
Now comes the fun part! Use your heattool to heat up the acrylic. It will become flexible and you can curl up the wings.
Be careful because your fingers will become hot!!
And as a final touch you can decorate the butterfly with stickles and pearl dots.
Don't they just look awesome?!!!!
I think I will try something like this with flower images soon!
Have a great day,
Hilde

They´re Gorgeous! I use printersheets sometimes as a stampmat, sometimes they curl up when I use the heattool. But I never thought of making an embellishment of it... So thanks for sharing this great idea Hilde

WOW!! What a fun butterfly that makes!! I have done this with alcohol inks and then stamping the image on top of the color with sytazon and then cutting them out!! We did a swap in October over at http://yourpaperpantry.ning.com and it was the first time I have ever heated acrylic and shaped flowers!! I think there are some youtube videos by people in the different groups showing all of the fun results!! THANKS FOR SHARING and have a FABULOUS DAY!! =)

I love the acrylic concept worked in with card and scrapbooking. Adds a whole new dimension. I'm excited to learn more about it...Judi
